Publisher's Summary

I was sold to him to settle a debt...but Dante Bellanti never settles. My father was always a gambling man. Unfortunately, he never could pick winners. When the wolves closed in, he chose himself, like always. He traded his freedom...for mine. He forced me to marry.

Now, Dante Bellanti owns my body. I’m just another possession for a man who already has too much. So I won’t let him have my heart. But you know what they say about gambling. The house always wins. And I’m at the mercy of the Bellantis....

OK, that just happened

Sooo, let me see. Well written story with a plot that has been used many times , check.. Characters that I was invested in, check. Two of my favorite narrators Erin and Teddy, check...but wait... a cliffhanger just as I was beginning to like the hero??? The torture. Anxiously awaiting book 2. If they are available, please use Erin and Teddy for all of the books. Definitely recommend this one. I was hooked from the beginning to the end.

Weak pushover of a woman!

I literally can’t with this book! The mc literally SEES him kissing another woman &allows him to screw her anyways! Like she can complain but makes sure he knows it’s totally ok to screw other woman! She has absolutely no back bone!

Not a mafia book

I don’t know what to say about this book. This book was about a real JERK named Dante and a pushover girl named Frankie. Dante owns the winery next door to Frankie. Supposedly, Dante is in the mob but there was no story line to coincide with that. Frankie is sold to Dante to “save” their home and family name. This made no sense. The whole time Dante ignores Frankie and pretends to “hook up” with his secretary and the author lets u believe this to the end of the book. HOWEVER, Frankie is never told they didn’t hook up and she keeps sleeping with Dante and even tells him she loves him. This was a boring book that nothing actually happed in and I didn’t even feel like it was a romance. I know it wasn’t a mafia romance. Will not continue on. This author wrote 3 books with only 250 pages each. Will never read this author again and cannot recommend this book.

Arranged Marriage

Frankie just returns from Itay after being away for three years only to find out that her father basically sold her and their winery to Dante Bellanti. Her father was a drunk and gambler and had too many debts to pay.
I liked that Frankie didn't just roll over and accept the marriage. She fought Dante for everything, she despised him for his mistress Jessica and didn't give into him easily. She was a strong independent woman.
Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton always work well together.

Narration

I couldn’t get past chapter 1, the narration is horrible! I wanted to replace it but Audible wouldn’t give me the credit, don’t waste your time!

Good but just not great

I feel like Stella gray did not live up to her name. After reading some of her other books, this fails in comparison.

Probably won’t go on

The FMC in this book is nauseating. I mean, a complete doormat. I can’t even with her. The MMC is one of the biggest a$$hol3s that I’ve seen in a book, and that’s saying something.

At the end (cliffy) of this book the MMC is starting to be a little more human, but I’m not sure it’s enough for me to invest in the next cliffy in the trilogy. I’m more interested in Dante’s brothers tbh.

All that aside, the narrators are brilliant as always!

LIKE THE REVIEWS.. IT’S A 👍👎MIXED BAG

I got this book before there were any reviews and, when I came back to re-read the summary again, I saw the mixed bag of reviews and comments for all three books. So I went into this listen with a heavy heart because I’m not forgiving when it comes to a weak heroine or a cheating hero. However, I’m pleased to say that throughout this Trilogy (which I’ve finished) the anti-hero Dante did NOT touch another woman since his arranged marriage to Frankie. Frankie, the bartered daughter.. the ill-treated pawn who grows a backbone in book 1, deliciously maxes out his black card in revenge and becomes feisty, forceful and fights for her role in the Winery and in her cold but sexy husband’s heart who finally sees her strength apart from her uses. But unfortunately, in books 2 and 3 she seriously lets herself down at various times by doing, saying and acting just tstl.. however the action flows.

The main and secondary characters and family dynamics are introduced, the tension and torture of an arranged marriage obvious and the friction between them oozes. The unwanted chemistry and attraction smoulders, the sex sizzles, the drama happens and lingers, the danger grows and strikes hard, the push ‘n pull angst finally settles, the secrets get revealed, the choppy waters calm and the happy ending comes. And the puzzle pieces of threats are starting to reveal just what these three brothers, and the family, are up against. They had wanted to do business the legal way.. but old Mafia alliances have begrudgingly been forged and the drama will continue in a new couple’s Trilogy no doubt.

Worth a credit? There were good and bad things about this Trilogy.. but overall, yes because I did enjoy the angst, the chaos, the chemistry, the heat and the characters enough to carry on with the series. Erin did a great job with the narration as the story was mainly from Frankie’s POV and Teddy was delicious but sadly there wasn’t many chapters done by him 😥.

Not the best

The plot I guess I missed it… Really these characters were both irritating. A man who treats the woman like she is nothing and the woman is easily appeased because of sex. I mean really screwing your husband while you know he just had sex with another person. How the heck can you love someone even though there is no real communication just sex really!!! I absolutely hated this story and there is no real cliffhanger.. To be honest it is boring and annoying. I tried the 2nd book hoping it would make he like the story but it was worse. I like this author’s other stories but not feeling this..
