Publisher's Summary

Brimstone: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!

A body is found in the attic of a fabulous Long Island estate.

There is a claw print scorched into the wall, and the stench of sulfur chokes the air.

When FBI Special Agent Pendergast investigates the gruesome crime, he discovers that 30 years ago four men conjured something unspeakable.

Has the devil come to claim his due?

Some things can't be undone.

Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Scott Brick - Perfect Performance!

I find some audiobook narrators just do not get the story they are telling...nothing could be further from the truth for Scott. His voice was brilliantly supported by the soundtrack, the combination took the story to a new level! Can't wait for Book 6!

More Booktrack editions please!

I can not properly express how much I enjoy booktrack editions. This novel, while already superb is a wonderful delight to listen to with the music and sound effects. If you don’t care for them, pick up the other edition. This is book that should not be missed. Pendergast and D’Aguasta at their finest.

Bravo Scott Brick

Story was ok, narrator was great! Music made the experience more intriguing. I just wish I could hear it a little more. Sometimes the music was a little low and hard to hear.

My favorite Pendergast story!

Great characters, interesting settings, and plot twists. One of the best Pendergast books, not to be missed.

Back ground "music''

The back ground music and noise is very distracting, so much so that I can not focus on the story line. I hear more music than story. I would love to hear the story with just the story. As it is, I can not finish.

Booktrack ruins the experience

This is NOT a review of the book. I will be reordering and enjoying this book without Booktrack.

Plot staggers in places

First off - I really do like the Pendergast series of novels - and in many ways they get better with each iteration I read (well, listen to). This story even managed - for once - not to be set largely underground.

However I find sometimes I tire of long scenes of drama and suspense that really do go on and on. A large cast of baddies prepared to do terrible things with nothing but contempt for their victims to be (i.e. completely comic book) and events occuring along unfeasible timelines (the bad guy always being one step ahead).

However - there are some interesting and colourful characters, a reasonably entertaining plot and a fair amount of suspense.

At some point I will tackle the next one - after a long rest and some alternative listening.
