We truly need half Stars

This was a clean magical story, while our heroine does end up having 4 love interest because of a magical bond there where no sexy times in explicit detail so this one is safe just know language is present.

This was such an amazing creation of a universe we'll written into such detail I enjoyed getting to know the powers, as our heroine learned to control them, the main focus of this story is a political stand against the non magical oppressed. For this book I wouldn't necessarily label it romance since it was very light to my opinion but ut was an adventure non the less.

Audiobook Obsessions 🎧

Well written but predictable

This wasn't a bad read, it was just very predictable. The writing is great and I really enjoyed the world building.

Lana is supposed to be a mercenary/assassin but I don't see how she'd be capable of such a job. Her jobs go wrong due to her lack of planning. She can't be very good at her job with that incompetence.

I always roll my eyes when the MC decides everyone's in danger with her nearby so clearly she has to run away instead of actually deal with it. Because that'll solve everything right :/ I think it would be quite suspicious for someone to run away right after being (rightly) accused of being a spy, instead the guys just say it upset them and don't do it again. Ugh. There's more that bothers my about Lana and her guys but i'll leave it there.

If you're ok with those or can look past what are admittedly relatively minor points, then you might really enjoy this. The writing is fantastic and the narration by Heather Firth was good.

Great Beginning

This was a story of a heroine who is learning to deal with magic she didn't know she had while having a bond with four different types of men. Its a great start to a series but would have loved a bit more romance. The narrator was amazing had to listen to the story all the way through without pause. Can't wait for the next book.

Good start

This is a good book a bit slow moving but well written. I kept waiting for a bit more steam… But there was only one kiss in this first book. I’m a bit torn on if I want to continue.

This is the first book of Sadie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the slow-burn romance between Lana, Akio, Fenris, Jae, and Corin. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t much of a surprise since its part of a series. I can’t wait to listen to the second book in the series Game Of Lies.

Heather did a great job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life.

I would recommend this book if you like Paranormal/Fantasy Romance, Slow-Burn Romance, or Reverse Harems.

What a great start the this series! I like that the cliffhanger wasn’t too crazy, just a great breaking point in the story. I was entrenched in this story from the start and enjoyed the characters and the story. The suspense is building with many factions with spies amongst them. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Loved this book!

I really enjoyed the spy slash rebellion slash mercenary feel of this book and the FMC is a kick butt and take names kind of gal. The guys are the perfect book boyfriends and the snark between then is always great.

Good first book can't wait for the next

This book and story were great. It has such an amazing concept and interest. I have to admit I did not enjoy this narrator as much as I have others as it seemed she had a hard time at the start with the male voices, but she was in no way bad. Heather Firth was able to make the story come to life for me.

Another amazing listen

Another amazing listen from Sadie Moss! This is a magical RH with fun characters and lots of fast moving plot. I adore the main character who is both feisty and hilarious. Starting to love each one of the guys too. I like the narrator's female voice, but I do have to say, I am not a huge fan of her male voices. Still an amazing story that had me sucked in from the start! Cant wait to see what happens next.

A great read, sadie never disappointes

I really enjoyed this book and it was refreshing to have a slow burn, I liked the main female character was doing great without the men and she wasnt a damsel in distress. The narrator did a good job as well, I would recommend this for anybody who likes supernatural slow burn books. Audiobook obsessions reviewer 🎧

This is awesome’

I likes this book!! Lana is a mercenary.. it’s not what she would have chosen for herself, but she needs money to live. She has a large contract offered... and as much as she doesn’t like it.... she may have to kill someone.

Sadie Moss is talented and has given us a wonderful story of the lives of paranormal individuals that is a wonderful listen! It’s a great storyline, and the narration by Heather Firth, is excellent!!!!

A captivating new world to discover!

How did I miss this new series, it's another mind-blowing, heart-pounding world of magic to discover, and escape into, beautifully narrated by Heather Firth's expressive voice. This new world where the magically gifted rule over the masses sucked me in, and falling in love with Lana and her men, and kept me captivated right to the end. I immediately felt for Lana's plight, and heart-break, and loved how she was ready to roll up her sleeves and kick some butt, Lana's four men were all intriguing and I immediately wanted to know more about them and their resistance movement, but I hated Christine, I didn't feel she had everyone's best interest at heart! I can't wait to start the next book and find out what's next for Lana's four men.

Ok story, Good narration

The story managed to keep my attention throughout the book, although it has a very slow paced. know it's a slow burn, but it's not just the romance, it's the whole story, it doesn't kept me on edge or wondering what was going to happen.
The slow burn "romance" was ok because they are just getting to know each other so things between them don't feel rushed, I actually quite like how their relationship is building.

The narration by Heather Firth was pretty good, she has a good paced and distinctive voices for each of the characters.

Overall it was a good story with a really well done narration and would be listening to the next books to know more about everyone.

Loved it!

I love to listen to audiobooks at the gym and once I started this one, it kept me at the gym longer because I didn't want to stop listening! I love that the main character is a badass but still has a little bad luck/clumsiness to her personality. The narrator did a fabulous job at all the individual voices for each of the individual characters, especially the four love interests! Sadie Moss created another great universe that I can't wait to dive into again!

Loved all the twists & turns with great narration

Heather Firth narrates this beautifully. I forgot that I was listening to her and just got sucked into the story.

I loved all the twists and turns in this book. And I enjoyed watching the characters as they dealt with not only each other but the things going on around them. It kept me engaged all the way through and I enjoyed the world building. Really enjoyed it.

Assassination Gone Wrong

This was an amazing start to the Magic Awakened series! Lana is a Blighted, a person without magic, mercenary, but was recently hired to assassinate a Gifted, someone with magic. Things don’t go according to plan and she ends up finding out that she’s actually a Gifted and her magic has bound her to the man she was supposed to assassinate and his three friends. She finally gets the chance to do something to take down the Gifted who have oppressed the Blighted and she jumps at the chance. I loved watching Lana go on her journey of discovering who she truly is and how to wield her powers. Her relationship with each guy is different, has their issues, and are set at different paces. Aiko is an incubus who seems a little standoffish, Fenris, my favorite, is a wolf shifter with a protective and wild side, Jae is an intellectual mage with a sweet side, and Corin is a piece of her past and heart that she once left behind. This book was filled with a rebellion, snark, unique characters, and a twist at the ends that begs you to keep reading on in the series!
Heather did a fantastic job with this narration! She used different voices for each character and her male voices were done very well. I love that she could bring every character and their personality to life with her performance!
