Fluffy as Air

I love both the narrators, but they couldn't save this piece of fluff. There was no dramatic tension, no real story line. Save your credit!

One of my go to authors and add in AMAZING narrators and you have one happy listener. This is a quick listen (wish it was longer) but the accent and yes the story were yum. Listen to it....you know you won't be disappointed!

absolute waste

there is nothing here but sex. no story, no emotion, no smiles, just sex. I only paid a couple dollars for it and that was WAY too much. EM is ridiculously breathy and draws the last word of every sentence out so much I feel the need to scream. trust me, just don't

Short and sweet

It may be short but it was a great story line and the narration was so good. Shane East and Erin Mallon did a fabulous job bringing the story to life. It was entertaining and fast paced. The chemistry between the characters was hot and I listened to this one in one go.

Sweet but short

Actually, I am disappointed! I wish there was more to Liam and Noelle’s love story. The story started out great, laying out the H and the h personalities and how they both secretly want to be more than boss and assistant to the boss. Once they accepted their feelings for one another, the story moved along well, but I felt the story ended too soon. There were conflicts in the story like Liam in the verged of losing his job as CEO of the company that he worked so hard for, the unexpected appearance of Liam’s ex together with their three young children the morning after, and the disapproval of Noelle’s friends with her getting into a serious relationship with Liam. All these were resolved with few sentences sprinkled around in the story instead of resolving them in scenarios.
Kendall Ryan could have made this into a regular book instead of a novella.
I would have rated this book about 3.5 stars, but because I love the narrators, Erin Mallon and Shane East, and that I usually enjoy the author’s longer books, I decided to give it a higher rating.

A Must Listen

Quick steamy read about an office romance. Loved this story so much. Liam was the CEO of the company and Noelle was his assistant. So forbidden and I loved it. Liam and Noelle were great together. They try to fight the attraction that they feel between themselves but after one late night at work, they give in. The chemistry between them was so hot. His kids were so cute. Not a fan of the ex-wife and so glad that was no real drama with her. Did I forget to mention that Liam is British? So swoon worthy.

Erin Mallon and Shane East are the perfect Noelle and Liam. A must listen!!!

Even Shane East’s sexy narration can’t save this

If a novella is all horizontal-mambos held together with barely a plot, then the mambo had better sizzle. But the half dozen get-togethers in this 2.5 hr book are quick, cringe-y and full of “Fk baby you’re so tight” exclamations. Lots of Fbombs and an ex providing the briefest whiff of a conflict also fizzled the sizzle. Finally, while I normally enjoy Erin Mallon, her British accent crashed and burned on the dance floor. When the HEA abruptly hit, I was happy it was over.

Short but entertaining

Short but entertaining and straight to the point. Very hot and romantic. Definitely recommend this audiobook. I love the narrators so they give the story a good extra kick.

Shane is my new fave narrator!

ok - No doubt about...Shane East is part of that elite narrator group with the most gorgeous, sinfully sexy voices!! And that accent, oh my (swoon). Too bad the female reader wasn't up to the same level. Also the story took an abrupt left turn at the end like the house would burn down if the story wasn't finished in he next few minutes. This story deserved another few chapters and a better ending. Nonetheless, I'll take Mr. East anytime - good story or bad!

Liked it but ...

... the pacing was off.

The characters were fun but we didn’t get to know them much due to how quickly the story progressed. Also, due to the speed, there wasn’t a convincing get to know you period or anything for the characters to overcome before the HEA. It was all a bit too rushed and focus was given to the sex scenes rather than making me care about the storyline.

Stylistically it well written and the performers did a great job with the audio, but overall I found it lacking substance and was ultimately a bit underwhelmed.
