The next installment in the Cradled Common Series, After first reading about Rome, The Enhanced king and Aster, his silk girl then going to the other side of the verse with Lagos and Dahlia, a lace girl on the run through out the world outside of the Cradle! Both five star books that took me on amazing journeys!

Meanwhile in the book the author takes this story to the darkest places I have ever read at some points, this book was a very more emotionally charged journey than either of the first two books! This story focuses on Rome’s sister, Tuscany the “Mother-Queen” whom we see at the beginning of the first book “Born for Silk” we get introduced at ten years old by enduring harsh medical treatments designed to carve a queen for all with no chance of children for herself! introducing over a decade of drugs, cutting and surgeries all in the name of “the Cradle”!

The MMC, Kong the Unbreakable is a seven-foot-tall Guardian, who spent most of the time being the main guard to her brother! The couple in this book felt like more of a softer quieter romance that was truly the back bone to both their story, this story and their worlds! In the face of this dark world where Tuscany is already filled with all encompassing, overwhelming Trauma, this was the perfect romance!

Whether or not, you are first picking up a Nicci Harris book or if you have interest in this series or your continuing with this series, you should know two things… the first of which Is that this book definitely has somewhat of a different feel than the first two books, its less action and more mental health healing/Character related! And the second thing is that this is a hundred percent NOT to miss story that both had good fun spice, depth and just enough action as to have never felt slow! A Definite MUST PICK UP!!

Loved it!

Great 3rd installment to the series, probably my favorite of the three. The book has all the feels, we travel on this emotional journey with the main characters. I loved all the character development and healing. There were some twist and turns. Once the spice got started, it was hot! The MMC was my favorite in the series and he will definitely be one of my book boyfriends. The narrators were outstanding and both fit their characters perfectly. I would love for there to be more books from this world in the future!

As good as the 1st book!

This installment is intense. Love Kong & Tuscany's story. It is action packed and a few turns I didn't see coming!
Can't go wrong with this pair of narrators!

Heartbreaking and beautiful

This story is so beautiful. The PTSD/mental health representation is fantastic. I love that Nicci was able to show that someone who has been utterly broken…and also able to show that they’re still breathtaking, beautiful and still completely deserving of life changing love. Kong and Tuscany love each other loudly. And they both deserve to be worshiped by their soulmates.
