An unexpected pleasure

I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. It was exciting and kept my interest throughout. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series and continue to appreciate the writing skills of JA Huss. Great fun and certainly worth the time to read.

I don’t even like SciFi.

I really enjoyed how well Cross built this world, while still keeping it sexy, fun and interesting. I have already purchased the Audibles for book 1.5 and 2.

Love this author!!!

For anyone that is not familiar with JA Huss (Julie) books, then you are in for a treat! If you like or love steamy hot romance, then you will LOVE JA Huss books!!! If you are into clean romance, then this author is not for you and please don't get this book and leave a bad review.

I have all of the books in this series and I am now listening to them again on audible, before the next book releases on Feb 9, 2021.
Oh my how I love the narration done by Teddy Hamilton & Savannah Peachwood, they really bring the book alive and even tho I can't listen to anything at a lower speed, their voices are still great on my 2.0 speed on Audible.
This is book 1 on the series, which will now have a total of seven books.
Still love this story and it's still hot as can be, Julie Huss you are a Rockstar!!!

Sexy Star Wars

A sexy introduction to the first book of the series. If you enjoyed Star Wars, you will most likely enjoy this series. There is a princess who glows and a galactic outlaw with double the sexual attraction. Added to the mix are bots and AI of all shapes and sizes. They do provide comic relief at times. The sex is mind blowing hot, so if you are not into that sort of thing, avoid this book. The narrators are perfect for this book I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.

excellent listen

This is my first KC book and although it took me a minute to catch on to the flow of the story I really enjoyed it. The Big Dicker was hilarious!! Savannah ND Teddy did an excellent job.

Surprised!

Well written and edited, interesting story, unique characters, clear detailed imagery and world build. Excellent male female dual read

Long rambling (unedited) version:
felt compelled to right this review. I only listened to this book because it was free and I needed to kill 20 min while I waited for my fiance's movie to end so I could call audible( to exchange my last book for a credit). Also the name and cover were so ridiculous, and the review I read so negative, I was curious. I 100% expected a bunch if over the top trashy sex scenes back to back. Maybe some poorly edited eye roll inducing drivel spliced with a few space words here and there. At first it looked like I was definitely getting exactly what I expected. Only because of luck and chance did I end up listening past the first chapters. Suddenly I found myself paying more and more attention. I ended up listening to the entire thing! It's actually pretty damn good! No one could be more surprised than me! The characters have real depth and are way more complex than I would expect in a sex book. The world building was well done. The sci-fi was interesting and believable. I am seriously impressed. Oh and the sex scenes were decent. But they didn’t take over the story. I’m embarrassed to admit this but I actually teared up in one chapter(they held a memorial service for characters brother)! Any author that can convey that much emotion is miles above the average alien sex trash novel crowd. So please if you like s I-fi romance give this book a fair chance. This book is the poster child of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. You need to hang in there for at least 3-4 chapters but it’s pretty worth it. If your looking to burn some time between credits, and can’t find/decide on a free book, look no farther. As soon as I finish this review I fully intend to look up other books by this author!

Surprisingly captivating

After reading the reviews on this book, I really was unsure if it was MY STYLE of a read.
I started to get into the story line, and I realized that this is really a good story.
It was a laugh-out-loud moment toward the end with the peaches. I will never again look at a peach the same way. Lol. And it’s safe to say, love takes many forms.

Love reading JA Huss, but this is a new twist!

From what I've listened to, I understand that KC Cross (JA Huss) really likes to write Sci-fic. This is the first that I've listened to of this series, and though some of it is cute......and even makes one smile quite a lot about the endowed male and female species. this is not my thing. I guess that I much prefer the darker stories and those that deal with the unjust situations. So many of JA Huss's books I absolutely love, so many great characters........All the Rook and Ronin series, The Misters......and so many others.
So I'll pass on this one.

I just like this Author.

I’m gonna venture a little more into this series before I give an official review. So far it’s good writing.
