Terrific mystery

I loved the character Ro Teegarden! This mystery is perfect for readers who like suspense without horrifying details. I'll definitely continue listening to this series. I really enjoyed the narrator!

Average

For me this was an average story, not horrible but did not have me at the edge of my seat wanting more either. This is the second book in the series and I am having a hard time liking the main character which is surprising because I have LOVED all of Ms. Harris' other books and lead characters. Narration was well done.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely - but only to my friends who are lovers of mystery. Roe Teagarden is a fun character, and this novel provides a solid mystery.

What other book might you compare Bone to Pick to and why?

This book had a Mary Higgins Clark feel to it - it is definitely not a cozy mystery, if that is what someone is looking for. What it is: a fab mystery with a strong heroine and an interesting story.

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

Aurora Teagarden - but I loved all the characters. Plummer really brings life to the story, and I think it would be a different experience if I had read it. She really sells the story.

To much unnecessary words explaining something simple, The ending was terrible because it didn’t answer why the pastor or Judd’s d was in the story

If you have seen the TV series they did a much better job of following the book than I would have expected.

Enjoyable mystery

I enjoyed the pace of the story and the character interaction. I also enjoyed the voice and familiar tone of the performance.

Good Plot Line... Something's missing.

I love the Aurora Teagarden books, so far! However, I feel there were some holes in the storyline. The book was too short and seemed to not finish out different plotlines within the story. What happened with the Priest? Even if she is going to continue that plot into the next book (which I haven't listened to/read yet), I felt there could have been a "tying in or continuing" event. The professor just seemed like a throw-in or add on event. Nothing ever came of it, which was disappointing. It felt like the ending was rushed and all the climatic events were just thrown together into one "scene". I didn't feel so though there was enough explaination. it just seemed as though, after the build-up of the plot throughout the book with the skull, the ending was not put together properly. It was great story and the narrator was wonderful, but there was too much fluff and not enough eventfulness for the storyline.
