From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Lorhainne Eckhart comes the final book in Walk the Right Road series.

In Blown Away, the Final Chapter, imagine that the man who’s been the source of all your misery shows up on your doorstep. Imagine this man wants your forgiveness for every bad thing he's done to you and your friends. Would you believe him?

Marcie, Maggie, and Diane all have one thing in common: Dan McKenzie, an unscrupulous man who uses women. His motto in life is "Lie, cheat, and steal". He faked his death and tried to frame Maggie's husband with his murder. He blackmailed Marcie to run drugs for him. And Diane, a cop, had to stand by, knowing he was responsible for planting drugs in her partner's locker. He's always walked away scot free. Until now.

As the friends move on with their lives, Maggie and her husband plan for another child after surviving the loss of their daughter. Zac asks Diane to marry him, though he hides a secret from his past that could destroy the future they have planned. And though Marcie and Sam are expecting their second child, their relationship teeters on the brink of disaster.

Lorhainne Eckhart's Walk the Right Road series has been a pleasure from beginning to end and I was gratified to see a wind up of some of the story arcs while still maintaining the dark mystery that characterises this unique and fresh story.

This was not a comfortable series to read: There are so many twists and turns and relationships and the individuals in them pass through many challenges. Choosing the light, the 'right road' is not portrayed as an easy or straightforward journey and they were losses and down periods in the lives of all the tribe we have come to know so intimately over the course of the books.

In addition it would be remiss not to highlight the exceptional narration across the series by Jennifer Pickens. I rarely encounter such a consistent and engaging performance.

I highly recommend this series that fully deserves to be widely popular and receive many accolades. It would be an incredible mini-series or tv show

An effective wind up of an awesome series

so I've listened to all 3 books and I was hoping it would get better but honestly the characters are still annoying and the story is hyper focused on the 3 couples from the series and their personal dynamic but sadly is lacking in the overall story arc. Each couple is a push and pull in their relationship and same with the friends that the other stories that brought the couples together are weak like wet tissue paper. By the end I was like "that's it?" I cared more about the mysteries that were set up and less about the characters and their dynamic.

yeah so....

Blown Away, The Final Chapter (Walk the Right Road #5) was another great read by Lorhainne Eckhart. Dan McKenzie is a man who loves to use women. He faked his death to try and frame Maggie's husband with his murder. He blackmailed Marcie to run drugs for him. Diane who is a cop, had to stand by knowing that he was responsible for planting drugs in her partner's locker. He finally hasnt walked away scot free, and the women try to move on with their lives. But sometimes lives have a way of evening the score. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Great Read

I probably should have started this series from the beginning, as it would have helped me connect the characters better, but it was an interesting listen. Definitely a lot going on in all corners. Jennifer Pickens has a very easy voice to listen to, and I thought she was a good choice to narrate.

Very enjoyable listen
