I was so surprised and heartbroken for the family when things started to unfold. You just never know what people are capable of when desperate. But seeing how the community and family came together in the end was worth it.

I cried through the first few chapters, stopped crying through many, and smiled through the rest. The story was a tad predictable but so well written I didn’t mind. I was sorry to have the novel end; I look forward to more novels by Jennifer Ryan read by Brittany Presley!
