Phenomenal
I usually don’t go for short books they have to be 20-60 hours but I absolutely love this book /series !

loved this book
I'm almost certain that this is the best performance I've listened to so far and I have almost 300 books. I love this trope so I may be biased when it comes to the story but I love it so much and can't wait for more.

excellent, though there are WAY too many interludes

Okay this books need to be longer, the story is so gpod and with the bonus of a really good MC. Can't wait to see where the next book takes us.

Worth the credit
Alexey Osadchuk Book 3 of the series continues to blend the story into both intrigue aplenty, daring adventure and royal machinations, all of which Max has to avoid where he can and intervene when he must. The number of characters influencing and impacting Max are numerous and continue to grow in this book. While this makes it more difficult to keep track of the characters in and of itself, it is made even more difficult considering that many of them are royals and are addressed with their full name and rank. Furthermore, their names are clearly French and the author expertly enunciates them with the heavy French dialect which often makes it more difficult to discern. Most of the narration is Max acting as a bard explaining the events. It's done surprisingly well.
Ryan Burke performance makes for a nice listening experience with the only drawback being my difficulty in discerning his expertly delivered French dialect.

good story but not long enough
I'm not a big fan of 8hr audio books. i feel like these books would be excellent with a few more hours of content added. The Naration is excellent. The story intresting and grabed my attention from the start.

First off, way too short. The political intrigues are entertaining. Max is just a boss! Can’t wait to see what he does next.
