Blood Heir Review

Loved being able to enjoy it and read it. Was disappointed that mistakes in pronunciation (Ascanio) were not corrected, otherwise another superb book by Team Andrews.

Narrator.... do your research

Literally about 15 wonderful books you could have listened to to get the characters....spoiler..................... Simon's accent. But Encanio(?) Has no accent. ... like how did you decide that. I don't like it

disappointed in narration

I've heard that the author intended the names to be pronounced this way, but I think the previous narrator did her a great service in the pronunciation. I've loved this series from the beginning. I have not read the books physically - only the audible versions, and this one was almost painful to get through and focus on the story. I think it's time to stop listening and start reading if this is going to be repeated. I mean really Barabbas being said bar uh bus??

thrilled to read more of Kate Daniel's world

hit a pet peeve pretty hard. new narrator pronouncing character names so differently from previous audible books that didn't know who they were at first. no continuity.

Performer issues

The reader does a good job but if you are a Kate Daniels fan and have listened to the original series, her pronunciations of major characters and groups will drive you nuts. I actually prefer her voice to the reader of the main series but if you are going to read a spin off of a major series at least research how the other person pronounced things.

couldn't stop listening

Excited to see where the author takes this new spin off. Julie is all grown up and has come into her own power. I have read the whole series. They just keep getting better!

Good memories

This book was a great pleasure to listen to, and it was fun to see an old character make such a big splash in a series of her own. Spend that credit; it is well worth the time.

This book centers around Julie, but features many of the characters from the Kate Daniels series. The book introduces us to the new "Julie", and centers around her solving a murder mystery. We get to see her interact with many characters from the previous series and are introduced to a few new ones. I'm not going to go into a great amount of detail about the book because many others already have and I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I do want to address the narration issues that have been brought up in several other reviews. I enjoyed the book, Yes, several of the words, names, etc... were pronounced differently, but I did not find that it affected my enjoyment of the story. I was prepared for the different pronunciations by previous reviews and didn't think they detracted from the performance. All in all I am very happy that the authors decided to begin a new spinoff and am looking forward to the next book!

New Pronunciations but Same Great Story

The story was amazing as I would expect nothing less from this author. My only issue was the change in pronunciation of the word. For example Bouda sounds like Booda and the Mahan is now Man. Other than that is an amazing build in the world of Kate Daniels. This is the third time I have gone through her series again and I am on my toes waiting for the next book!
