Despite this being a prequel and me roughly knowing the end it was still heart wrenching. Lexi's books never dissapoint.

Also... Kind of feeling guilty about being hot for Stasia's dad lol and that little bit of knife play... Yummy. 5 stars.

Loved this book!!!

I really enjoyed listening to Sethios & Caro’s story. It also gives a bit more background to the entire series. I put off listening to this one for so long because I was worried since I know things didn’t end well for them. I knew though with Lexi’s writing and Sarah’s narrating I would love it and I really did. All that procrastinating for no reason. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Jumping into the next book immediately. Things are making So much sense now and I'm So excited to see the story unfold.

Story reveals

There were so many “story reveals” in this book, I spent most of my time trying to overcome the shock (in the best way). I almost didn’t want to finish it because I knew how it would end, as it’s a prequel to Stas’s life. I highly recommend getting this whole series, but definitely go in order. Fair warning, all of Lexi’s books are highly addictive

Sweet and sexy with an emotional gut punch

4.5 stars! Wow, this one packed an emotional gut punch. After getting to know Stas in the previous books, here we get the story of her parents, how they met and how Stas came to be, and ultimately how they were torn apart as a family. An encounter that starts purely in the physical, really for both of them, Sethios and Caro developed into a very sweet, and very passionate relationship. Knowing roughly where it was heading left a constant knot in my gut, knowing it was going to end badly, but there is always more to the story, right? So I cheated a bit and saw that we will get more of there story in a couple books, and can I just say how much I’m looking forward to that. And how this is going to play into things as they’ve been progressing in the prior books, well, things are definitely even more interesting than they were already, if that was even possible. This was the right place to drop this little prequel story, giving some back story that is definitely going to play a role in what happens next for Stas, Isaac, et al. As always there is an undercurrent of lightness in many of the character interactions, which makes it feel so much more real and intimate. The narration was fantastic; emotional and real. Overall a very enjoyable story, despite the crushing ending, or at least cliff hanger.

Loving it all!!

This series just gets better and better with each new adventure and love match revealed. I absolutely love the characters, every unique background and the storylines they all have interlinked within the main story. The narration is fantastic, the writing even more so and I can’t wait to get the next book!
