Her voice ruined it 😒

I had to skip through the story, she read most of the story and that ruined it. Her voice was goofy, I h8 it when both characters don't get the same time. The F word is used so many times by the MC. That ruined it as well, is that the only word these writer's can think of for situations ?

Meh... Not spicy

There are two vanilla spicey scenes towards the end. They are very vanilla. The story is written well, descriptive narrative, but far to predictable. The killer is obvious from the beginning, as is how the ending is going to go. Not bad, but I definitely wouldn't have paid money for it.

pretty good

not enough Joe Arden. he was only in like 15 mins of the book. Maxin Mitchell was really good though. the story was okay. I knew who the killer was immediately but it was entertaining enough. I didn't want to dnf so that's good. a couple of funny moments.

Torn

I wanted more….
I love Maxine Mitchell. She is a queen when it comes to narrating but when it's her and Joe Arden it's epic. I just didn't get that. Joe was only in 3 chapters. I wanted to hear both their voices collide. The story was alright.

I don’t get it.

The negative reviews on Maxine Mitchell have to be fake. I’d guess competitors are leaving bad reviews. Mitchell is one the best female narrators on audible.

I do prefer male narrators overall but just had to come over to correct the record on the unfair reviews on Mitchell.

Mystery thriller x an unexpected romance!

I liked the plot for this one and loved the unexpected romance between Ace and Hart., I am an absolute sucker for a grumpy mmc so Ace falling for Hart was a treat. I ended up guessing who the suspect was so the ending wasn't shocking for me. I'd definitely recommend this one for those who enjoy a good thriller with a little romance mixed in.

Joe Arden… he comes out for like 5 minutes… was expecting to hear more of him

Not bad. Not OMG, you gotta read this either.

I could have done without the sentimental message at the end. That was a total cheesecake move. I did enjoy the slow burn romance and banter between MMC/FMC/ best friend🧡 It was a good mix of mystery and romance to pop on while doing house work.
