Landon's writing is spot on, describing things that vibrantly remind me of my childhood. I laughed out loud multiple times while listening to the book....and I am pretty sure I had a smile on my face the entire time I was listening to the book.

I am sure there are purist that only enjoy holding paper and reading the text, but you are missing out if you don't listen to Landon reading his words in his fabulous Sourhern accent.

I will be listening to this book over and over again!❤️

This is one of the most entertaining books I have ever read or listened to. Enjoyed all of it and learned much.

LOVED THIS BOOK

I’m from the South (N. Central Florida) so this was fantastic to hear the writer/narrator share all things Southern. His accent drives the things discussed in this book HOME and the humor intertwined is an added bonus! Recommend to ALL!!

Heartwarming and Informative

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. I stumbled across it and have spent the day listening to it while doing chores. I may be a middle aged Asian American woman who lives in the Pacific NW, but apparently I have picked up some Southern phrases here and there. I also just learned about pear salad and so much more. I loved how much love the author clearly has for his family and community. I highly recommend and am now a follower. Looking forward to more!

Don’t skip this!

I think this wouldn’t read the same without the author reading it. It’s funny and interesting and has me wondering if my family is actually southern lol

Very true and humorous

Very accurate and humorous descriptions of Southern speech and behaviors. I had no idea that there were so many unique variations, even though I spent my first eighteen years in a small town in the South Carolina Low Country. Congrats to the author for compiling this very entertaining book. The reason that I did not give the book a 5 star review was the narration. I thought the author’s voice sounded too feminine (“Bless his heart!”).
