She did it again!!

Mary Alice Monroe is a true story teller! I love the story and both environmental and historical perspectives she intertwines within. When is book two coming in audio book????

Where The Rivers Merge

Loved how Mary Alice Monroe once again creates a novel that teaches the reader so much! While being completely immersed in Eliza and her life story as a young woman living in the turn of the century Deep South through present time, readers learn about the ACE basin of Coastal South Carolina-all the wildlife & plants and their impact on the area, rice plantations, segregation, WWI, life in Charleston….Eliza’s story is intriguing and keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait for the sequel to be released!

What A Story!!!

I loved the characters' voices.
The story left me hanging. I need to read books 2.

Nice character development

The Authors claim of “ Climate Change” by humans is false and totally unnecessary in the story. No mary Alice, humans did not cause @ Climate Change “ your liberal agenda is showing. Predictable

What a cliff hanger!? Amazing story. Two of my fav narrators. Hope they will do book 2

Wonderfully written with a twist!

Since I live in Beaufort, I was excited to listen to this book. The storyline was excellent and kept me guessing! However, it was like nails on a chalkboard hearing the pronunciation of Beaufort! “Bewfort” is in SC and “Bowfort” is in NC. Or as we like to say, it’s better to be a beautiful day in “Bewfort” than a bowtiful day in “Bowfort”!!! 😂 Overall, the book is wonderfully written and has me looking forward to the next one!

Loved it and Shocked to Learn There is Book Two

I was totally enthralled with this wonderful book and had intended to post it on Facebook as one of this year's best. It was never revealed that there would be a sequel. Consequently, I am giving the overall only four stars. The book is wonderful, but it ends without a completion, just a quick annoucement that this is the end of Book One. No telling how long it will take for book two to be written and released. This should have been revealed as book one of two.
