Inspiring and thought provoking but not dry

I always appreciate when an author records the books themselves. The story was heart wrenching, happy, and calming. I wrote down several inspirations so I will remember.

I never read self-help books, and I’m not sure this book is intended to be one, but I came away with a story and so much more. The author’s words have voiced some of my own fears and how he made it through. Totally worth a second listen to catch what I didn’t get the first time.

Mr. Stanland’s journey through loosing everything in federal prison and rebuilding his life is beautifully written with so much vulnerability and courage. It is an inspiration for anyone who has lost, who wishes to live a life of meaning, or who has felt shame and unworthiness. It is a true celebration of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of living authentically.

A heartfelt and incredibly real story that anyone can relate to

Craig story is unbelievable, and yes, so relatable. I connected with this book and his story in ways. I didn’t know possible. He is living proof that we are all one choice away from turning everything upside down and being faced with the opportunity to self reflect and bring ourselves back up from the bottom. Whether you have committed crimes, made bad choices that have immensely affected your life, or have come to grips with the reality that life isn’t just a journey of Eve, you are certain to find human connection and inspiration from Craig.
