Great story!Great Storyteller!

The second in this series does not disappoint! I love the way Catie develops the character of Peri Jean and unravels the plot in fascinating ways. Holly Adams continues to amaze with her remarkably accurate Texas accents that brings the story to life in a beautiful, engaging way! This mystery is so much fun to follow!
Highly recommend!

Ghosts of the past this time

In this second book, Perry Jean is back at it again, seeing ghosts and trying to solve a murder. This time, the murder is a challenge, as it's from about twenty years in the past and it's her boyfriend Dean Tujo's sisters murder. The irony is that Dean actually asks her to use her "ability" to solve this, regardless of how uncomfortable it makes him. This surprises Perry Jean but her heart goes out to the family for the loss of this girl at such a young age and she is determined to do what she can to help them. In this book she not only learns more about her boyfriend, but also his family, his past, and also her ability. Does she have the strength to embrace her abilities after hiding them after all this time so she can find who murdered Dean's sister? Can she control what she learns about her abilities as well and live through this mystery as well? I'm still amazed at her ability and am still not sure as to what to make of Perry Jean herself as a person, but she's a fighter. Her biggest fight is within herself at her abilities and what she should do with them: suppress them or embrace them. I can't wait for the next ride with her.

The narrator again did not dissapoint. I absolutely love the southern accent she adds to the book.
