Publisher's Summary

Getting attached was the cardinal sin…

As an omega FBI agent, Giovanni Rizzi has done more undercover operations than he should have. He’s on his third op in two years and having trouble remembering who he’s supposed to be. When a one-night-stand ends up being his new boss, the mission gets messy.

Alpha Marcus Stern’s new FBI job isn’t everything he expected it to be, his authority hampered at every turn. If the boredom doesn’t kill him, the loneliness just might. Especially since the hot one-nighter he can’t forget turns out to work in his department. If only he could shake the nagging feeling that he’s missing something…

Gio’s investigation and Marcus’ digging collide. The men can’t deny the draw between them - but the ethics of their relationship is the definition of complicated. When an unexpected pregnancy and a break in the case send the men scrambling, will they be able to overcome all the secrets between them, or will their relationship go down in a hail of bullets?

Love this story

FBI agent Gio Rizzi is on an undercover operation when he meets Marcus Stern. A one night stand turns into more when they discover they are both working at the same company. Gio tried to keep his distance, but falls for Marcus anyway, which confuses him. He would normally brush it off, but it’s hard to also brush off a baby. I really enjoyed this whole series, I read all the books. This is the only one I’ve listened to on audio, as I got it for free from the authors in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the audio book. Todd Waller did a great job bringing the characters to life. There was good differentiation in the various voices of the characters, and it’s was very smooth. I really enjoyed taking this journey with them again, and of course all the brothers were involved as well. Highly recommend this book.

Marcus & Giovanni

Marcus has met his match in Giovanni, an Omega who does not let Marcus get away with anything. These brothers are the best, they choose each other and continue to stick together.

A bit of everything!

The narrative was enhancing. It is a fast paced romance with a happy ending. It is a bit angsty and the omega and alpha rules are a bit different from usual, but that helps make the story different and fresh. I enjoyed it a lot!

Another good book in this series!

I liked this story and would recommend it. It has a little action/ suspense for something a little different with the romance. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the narrator's voice for Gio. Nothing wrong with it just not my preference. However, it was easy to tell the characters apart.

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

Good Story

I really like the story in this book. I read the book first. When I started listening to the audio book I was confused which character was talking the narrator is good but not good with the different voice for each character.

Billion Dollar Baby

I thoroughly enjoyed this Audiobook. Todd Waller did a brilliant job of bringing this story to life.Had absolutely no problem with distinguishing each character.
Would have liked Gio(is that how his name is spelt? Haven't read the books yet😊) to have been a bit more put together towards the end,but that's my own personal opinion, sorry.

An enjoyable plot

I have loved each of the 3 books in this series that I have read or listened to so far. Although there are recurring characters in Billion Dollar Baby, this audiobook would be okay as a standalone.

The authors write together so well and their different parts meld seamlessly. Their descriptions really work for me. I adored Gio's snark and actually cheered along with him when Marcus promised to shave off "that" moustache, despite its entertainment value. The plot is very well thought out and flows along nicely to a satisfactory conclusion.

Todd Waller's narration is clear and I particularly loved his different voices and accents. My one gripe is that there are some longish pauses where there shouldn't have been and this took me out of the story. This is possibly down to editing.

I can't wait for Cody and Nikolai's story.

Brill

This is a brilliant book to listen to and following Marcus as he meets Gio as they have problems with their relationship and some work surprises that they have to deal with.
