Two weeks ago, 21-year-old Steven White couldn’t imagine he would drive a van loaded with ghost guns along a dark country road at midnight. It’s even harder still to believe he would do it for a White Nationalist militia as an FBI confidential informant. Yet here he is because the Feds have him over a barrel and he’s fallen hard for a girl not yet 18—who happens to be the daughter of the psychopathic founder of the Proud Warriors. Still scarier, the more he learns about this paramilitary group, the more he realizes it’s as much a cult as a force with dark political ambitions. Multiplying the stress of living a double life, Steve learns many members have their own hidden agendas. Despite the risks he stays, because he has to figure out if his love for Lauren is real, or simply a dangerous infatuation.

Good story.

I honestly liked the story. It was entertaining, though a rehash of rural white nationalism in the American media and television series. I was distracted by the narration, which is a problem with authors narrating their works. The rural accent is ok, but the vocal characterizations weak.
The author supplied an audio download for an honest review and I thank him for the opportunity.

This book had a bit of everything and is read fantastically by the author himself!

Ripped from the Headlines!

This riveting story (excellently narrated by David Witt) is ripped from the headlines which makes it so compelling. The story is unfortunately extremely similar to the current state of affairs in our country. Witt gives the listener a disturbing look into the white Christian nationalist movement. This movement wants to overthrow democracy and replace it with a theocracy or autocratic rule. The storyline and characters are believable because we’ve seen them in the news! This should be made into a miniseries or a movie! Well done!
