So bad

I really did want to like this but it was a battle to complete for me. I did some on audio and that was brutal. Voice actors were ridiculous. I don’t understand why you have a male and female voice actor but don’t let each say their part. Instead we are stuck with each mimicking the others awful voice 🤦🏼‍♀️. Very repetitive and say the same phrases over and over and over. “You have another think coming” and say it in almost each paragraph. Then have a female lead who is so juvenile she herself says she is goth but says OMG all the time. And not the phrase but letters. They refer to her as intelligent but she is shocked to learn her mafia husband is an international criminal! Ridiculous. They constantly leave one another and get back together and it is so trivial. I would NEVER recommend this unless you are extremely bored and need a laugh of how bad this is

Obnoxious

The storyline is boring and repetitive. The female narrotor’s voice is annoying and she needs to slow down. Also, if I had to hear “O-M-G” one more time, I might’ve thrown my phone across the room. Jason Clarke was the saving Grace because his voice is pure sin, but even he sounded bored during parts. The only reason I’m finishing this book is it’s too late to return it.

Horrible do not buy!!!

I strongly do NOT recommend this. I listened to the whole thing because I paid for it, and was hoping it would get better, but don't waste your time and money. The story line is all over the place, and makes no sense most of the time. The characters are so ridiculous I can't even put it into words. If I never hear OMG ever again I will be happy. These books also contain weirdest most awful sexual encounters I have ever come across. There should be a warning to readers that don't like certain types of sex, but at the same time they were ridiculous, odd poorly timed it was laughable. I usually do not leave reviews, but this one was so bad I had to warn other people.

took me weeks to finish

So there was such an unnecessary repetitive narrative that I had to stop and the constant indecisiveness of individuals that are suppose to be intelligent was just to much. This story stretched out and could have been better if it was 2 books instead of three. I don't recommend purchasing like I did

DNF

Unable to finish. Jason Clarke is on my list of favorite narrators. The female narrator is difficult and painful to hear. The female sounds like a preteen, and her lines are GAH and OMG every other line, sometimes every line. Horrible waste of a credit. I’d like a refund.

Waste of time

I listened to a little over half of this book and couldn’t take no more. I can’t stand Roxie’s voice or character. I absolutely love Jason’s narration, but not for this book, even though Jason made me laugh several times. Time to move on.

Loved it!

The story line was great. Maybe a few to many OMG's but after a while they made me laugh. I will continue to listen to the rest of the series.

good story -BUT

The male narrator is super, the female made Karma sound like a spoiled whiney 14yr old.
Well not much make Karma likable in the book..
And I really hate the inner dialogue wich is 2/3 of the book
I stuggled really hard to Finnish this book

I don’t know what to think

I liked some moments but overall this books annoyed me.Only because of her behaviour, she acted like a young child and the narrator that voiced her didn’t help with that only made it worse. Grating on my nerves. The story was interesting and that was the only reason a kept listening too all the three books. But I felt a bit like we were going in circles repeating the same things over and over again. For example she likes him but she hates him, she run but he finds her, he doesn’t care about her so she runs again and he finds her and on and on in a ever ending repeating circle.

Absolutely fantastic

Mafia King
5 stars

I love these leading ladies that play hard to get. They desperately want to get it on but know they shouldn’t so fighting is the only way to go. With a brilliant performance from both narrators i really enjoyed this book.

Mafia Queen
5 stars
Oh my….this book is everything I needed. I sassy leading lady that wants freedom yet craves her man. I’m hooked in these characters. Great performance.

Mafia War
5 stars
There’s so much action packed in this book. I was totally hooked. With so much emotion and selflessness I found myself shedding a tear or two. A fantastic performance.

excellent trio of books

I was a little dubious about buying this trilogy as I have only listened to one other L Steele book and found it a little too dark for my taste. however I'm glad I went ahead as I thoroughly enjoyed these books.
Jason Clarke and Roxy Isles both gave an outstanding perfomance in their portrayal of the different characters, putting the perfect depth of feeling and emotions into each scene performed. if I could give them more starts I would. this is a great bundle of books and well worth the credit, I definitely be continuing with the rest of the series.

Absolutely Amazing

I loved Karma and Michaels story the chemistry between was palpable from the start . Karma was so funny with the things she threw back at Michael I giggled at her on several occasions. Michael was intent on never letting Karma know he had fell in love with her but you could tell in the ways he let her get away with things others would have been killed for. I’m looking forward to listening to Christian and Auroras story.

Too much inner dialogue

I wish books would come with a warning. There is so much inner dialogue. I'm not a fan of books written in this way. The back and forth is annoying. He's mad with his grandma for not sticking up for him or his mother when his father was abusing them yet he's just like his father. The story isn’t believable and Karma is annoying. There's sexual tension but no real chemistry.

Disappointed

The two stars for performance is for Jason Clarke. I’m sorry but I cringed when the female narrator started talking. She just didn’t suit the book at all.
I could finish the first book it was just to hard to listen too. I’m sure the storyline is fantastic though.

disappointed

im not even half way through the 1st book and im almost at the point of ending this book. the female narration is terrible , after the 1st chapter ive struggled with the story due to her voice. i know shes 19 but she speaks and acts like an annoying child and if she keeps repeating O.M.G through-out the whole trilogy then i will end this book. really frustrated with the whole thing.

the only positive is Jason Clarke- one of my fav narrators
