Story
As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt. When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Sebastian Frost’s most recent memory was waking up in a field naked, in a body that wasn’t his own, in a world that definitely wasn’t his own, and three stunning pointy-eared women staring right at him. He also remembered hair as white as starlight, eyes like amethysts, and the name Shalia. Fortunately, it was the right name to know. Shalia was the elves’ goddess, and that made him her herald.

Publisher's Summary
From best-selling author Shoshanna Evers comes an erotic re-imagining of the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast.
With her father's freedom at stake, Belle agrees to be the fearsome Beast's prisoner in his enchanted castle. Held as his willing captive, Belle must submit to the Beast's most primal desires to survive.
The Beast can't let his little Beauty go free, not while there's still hope that she might be the one to end his decade-long curse... and with true love's kiss, return him to the Prince he once was.
Their story is one that begins with imprisonment - he in his monstrous body, she in a dungeon - but without this predicament, Beauty would never have met the Beast.
So we shall begin with what occurred on that fateful night when everything changed: when a lover was betrayed, a man deformed, and a castle shrouded in an enchantment...

Entertaining -- Drew Me Right In!
What did you love best about Beauty and the Beast: An Erotic Re-Imagining?
I've read this story way before I heard the audiobook. Next to the tight and quick-paced suspense that Shoshanna masterfully crafted, what I loved the most about this version is the animated voice of the narrator when personifying the characters!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I'm cheating. I'm choosing two characters--the antagonists in the story. They were hilarious! Today's modern version of a male cop coupled with a psych ward female, they both added to the suspense plaguing Beauty's father.
What about Christine Padovan’s performance did you like?
Her voice was clear -- no words slurred or hurried. Her personification of the characters was animated and easily drew me in.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Definitely laughed with the characterizations the narrator came up with to portray the different cast of people in the book!
Any additional comments?
Read it! Read the book first. Then listen to the audio version and you'll catch even more details, especially with the excellent narration!

Wanted: A Beauty for a kinky Beast
Overall, very entertaining but I would still love it if the author would take the time to length her stories. She always seems to be in a big rush to get to the end, when her stories would benefit with more time passing between the characters, developing their relationship.
I thought Belle was alittle naive - she couldn't figure out Frederick was the Beast? But no matter, the prose flowed well and there was the appropriate amount of kink in all the right places.

Lovely new version of the classic fairytale
Would you consider the audio edition of Beauty and the Beast to be better than the print version?
Ooooohhhh, yeah! The storyteller quality used to narrate the book, making the characters reminiscent of some of the Disney characters. It was like a Broadway performance - very well acted. And those hot scenes that only Shoshanna Evers can write!
Who was your favorite character and why?
The evil stepmother/enchantress - her role was brief in the beginning of the story but how the narrator voiced her - oooo, la, la!
Have you listened to any of Christine Padovan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Definitely waaayyyy better than the narration of the Enslaved series. Audio quality also was great compared to previous Evers' stories.

Don't let this hot book fry your reading device
If you could sum up Beauty and the Beast: An Erotic Re-Imagining in three words, what would they be?
Red Hot Love! I read the print version of this wonderful story a couple of times already (See some of my original review below). But first some observations about the Audible version. The narrator did an absolutely excellent narration. She did a very convincing Belle, which gave a better understanding of Belle's feelings and character. And her male voices were believable. I completely forgot that one female voice did all the voices--the quality of a great narrator.
If you put on headphones and lay down without any distractions, you can see the story as a movie in your mind. Also you may hear important details you missed reading the print version. I know I missed a few important things after reading the print story twice. You cannot skip the details to get to the "good" parts. You have to hear it all.
And most importantly, I felt the same anxiety or urgency or delight from the first 2 reads,
only more intensely while listening. This is a sign of a great author and narrator.
Fantastic work by Shoshanna and her narrator. Below is part on my original review of the ebook.
If I had one challenge it is how an other wise intelligent Belle could be so naive about the Beast. I yelled at her a few times! LOL But we must remember this is a fairy tale, and was originally written in the 1700's. Belle's brain and heart was on overload with everything that was happening to her and around her. In the real world today, a person might think she/he was simply going insane. So Belle gets a pass.
I’m only vaguely familiar with the story of Beauty and the Beast. Which I think was a very good thing. I was able to read Shoshanna’s wonderful version without comparing it to anything that I might have read before. I read the entire story in one sitting--twice.
I have read many of Shoshanna’s books as she is one of my favorite authors, and this one is quite different from most of her other books that I’ve read. It is a retelling of a fairy tale, but an erotic version for adults. Of course the expected fairytale ending is there; however, there is a twist at the end that was quite unexpected and extremely satisfying for the reader.
This is a charming, well-balanced version of the story, with an appropriate amount of erotic content. There is no gratuitous sex, only what could be expected in order for Beauty to truly fall in love with the Beast--and the love scenes are hot. Don't let it burn your listening device!
Shoshanna, another great literary triumph for you and for all your loyal readers! Thanks dear lady for sharing your great talent with us!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Beauty and the Beast: An Erotic Re-Imagining?
The unexpeted twist in the last few pages-- totally a unique and wonderful ending!
What does Christine Padovan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her voices. She gives a different feel for Belle especially. Her male voices are well done. By listening (I have read the book twice) you hear details you may miss reading the print version. You cannot skim to get to the good parts! When you do that, you will miss what may seem to be unimportant at the time, but may be crucial to understanding the outcome. I had to resist the urge to get to the love scenes and the wonderful ending. But I found gems along the way that I missed, even reading it twice. She did an outstanding narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I read the ebook twice in one sitting. I had to divide this up into 2 sessions, but all in the same 24 hour period.
Any additional comments?
Shoshanna has a number of her other books on Audible. If you own the ebook, you get a great discount on the Audible version. I am now listening to several of her burning hot stories that I first read!

worst narrator ever!
Ok I was actually looking forword to hearing this book. Unfortunately the narrator made it impossible to get through she constantly had this breathy voice she used to narrate and at the end of every sentence she elongated the last word as if she was trying to sing it through. The plot was Ok but I was too put off by the narration to continue.

I can't honestly rate the story because I barely got one chapter in. The narration was atrocious, especially the erotic scenes which absolutely threw me into fits of laughter. I just wasted my time and money and dont even know if the story was any good due to the absured narration.
