I am underwhelmed. For me, this was just ok. However, and surprisingly, the narration was good.

Twists and turns!

Every time I thought I had figured out where this story was going I was blindsided. So good. Only my second Feeney book and definitely not my last.

Crazy Plot

I liked it. A bit bizarre but kept me going. Couldn’t stop listening. I thought it was well done. I do agree that the recording would throw you off.

What a ride!

I enjoyed this audible book and finished it quickly! I love when audibles feel like I’m watching a movie. They did a great job and made it fun to listen to. I NEVER saw the ending coming

Beautifully crafted twists with a somewhat ugly aftertaste.

The book starts out as a regular mystery: a successful author's wife disappears as he receives the. biggest accolade of his career. His distress over her disappearance brings on writers block, and his agent suggests a getaway to a secluded cabin located sparsely populated Scottish island. But strange things are afoot there. Why is this place so odd? What happened to his wife? Answers lead to more questions. I was happy in the end that there were logical answers for all, but the ending leaves you with mixed feelings about the characters and the many deceptions at play.
