Publisher's summary

A dangerous evolution in the game threatens Devrim's new life. NPC monsters are rallying. And they have one Beast Queen bent on ruling them all! In the months since the Goblin King's defeat, Devrim has settled into a peaceful existence in the now prosperous village of New Haven. But prosperity invites challenge, and challenge creates chaos. And the world of Lorian is about to be tipped into war that it may never recover from.

The only way to save Lorian is to dust off his old skills and remember the hunt. But building a home has left him rusty and complacent, which is no way to be when predators are on the prowl.

A werewolf army amasses, threatening creatures and humans, alike. Whispers of goblin clans unifying. And the pleas of a living forest make for interesting times.

Can Devrim hone his skills in time to face the Beast Queen and prevent a war? Because, if he doesn't, the hunter will become the hunted!

Leveled up

I enjoyed book two more than book one. The sound quality and background music and effects helped with immersion.
You see a clear progression of Dev as he pushes against what fate (aka the world) is trying to make and what his free will desires.
If you like litRPGs this series will give you what you expect. RR Virdi delivers.

Again the only negative is the female voices are a bit off putting. However the Jeff Hays performance otherwise is consistent, clear and enjoyable to listen to.

An amazing ride!

Firstly, I loved this story. It has enough of the feel of an MMORPG that I wish I had time to log back in to my old accounts.

And now I want another book to continue the series.

Fun LitRPG

This is a very fun listen. It is Very Well written and it stays within the established rules of the game while also expanding the world. I msyybe could have done with a few less status updates but I was otherwise very engaged. Another fantastic consistent performance By Jeff Hayes. Bravo! I recommend both parts of this series they are both well worth a listen.

This unfortunately fell very flat for me

I wanted to like this book I really did I enjoyed the first one yes it had its pitfalls but it was a good story and I made it threw it with minimal frustration with the repetitiveness. This one, however, falls flat for many different reasons one big reason was the fact that there is way WAY to much fluff and repetitiveness reading off what's in the MC inventory and making similar one-liners that are meant to be descriptive instead I've just naming of feeling or emotion it's just kind of annoying. Is there's still a good story here yes. Unfortunately, it's just bog down by a lot of stuff that's not needed or just repeated 5 minutes beforehand. The other thing that really bugs me about this the book, unfortunately, contradicts itself a lot with the mc plans and it is extremely predictable I just could not get through it which is sad. The performance was good the music was amazing I love the song that was sung even though it was a little clip unfortunately the rest of it was just as the title state it felt flat.

Kind of the Same

I feel like the characters are starting to develop more, but this felt like much the same plot as the first book.
