Publisher's Summary

One grumpy boy...

Ethan's Valentine's Day isn't going well. He's been talked into attending a pretentious premier gala with his ex-boyfriend at movie mogul Charles Weston’s posh Beverly Hills mansion. Ethan’s plan is to hit up the free bar for all the gin they'll give him, then slink home, alone. Instead, he gets lost in the host's mansion, runs into a handsome stranger, and suddenly, his night takes a sharp turn for the better.

Plus one lonely man...

Charlie has everything he could ever want, except someone to love, and he's just about given up trying to find him. Then, at his party, he stumbles upon a young man gawking at his Cezanne and cursing his name. Charlie is amused, then charmed, then turned on by Ethan, who can't shut up and has the biggest blue eyes Charlie has ever seen.

Equals the most memorable Valentine’s Day, ever!

Both know that falling into bed with a stranger is a terrible idea, but it might turn out to best mistake either has ever made.

Be My Mistake is a prequel of sorts to Damage Control, but can be listened to on its own. It’s a scorching hot Valentine’s Day novella with a mouthy twink, the best daddy ever, a lot of John Hughes references, a ridiculous mansion which may or may not contain a twink pit, and, of course, a HEA.

Short, steamy, sweet, and oh-so-good!

Following in the proverbial footsteps of Damage Control and Daddy Issues, Be My Mistake certainly had ginormous shoes to fill. With it being a far shorter listen compared to its two predecessors in the North Shore Stories series, you'd think that it had its work cut out for it, but Lynn Van Dorn's writing combined with Michael Ferraiuolo's narration are a more than formidable partnership. Ethan and Charlie's story has an age-gap romance combined with a hint of Daddy kink, and in a matter of three hours, I found myself as emotionally invested in them as I was with Tyler and Josh in Damage Control and Ryan and Marek in Daddy Issues. While this does serve as a prequel in the series, it can easily be listened to either before the full-length stories or afterwards, which is what I ended up doing since that's how they were released as audiobooks. My expectations may have been high, but Van Dorn and Ferraiuolo repaid my faith in them with a fabulous audiobook that had humor and angst as well as a whole lot of heart and heat. Five stars for Be My Mistake! ♥

Cute prologue

This was a sweet Valentine's short. The characters were likable, it set up the first novel in the series nicely and it gives Ethan a happy ever after that it feels like he deserves even after just a short time reading about him. I liked the lovers to friends dynamic between Ethan and Tyler. Charlie seems like a perfect match for Ethan and I like the way their needs and wants match up so well

Sexy, a very well done audiobook!

I continue to love Lynn's work - I just really enjoyed Ethan and Charlie in this. She has such a great voice to her writing - the snark, the sass, and the little touches like the chapter titles and day/time/setting are just perfection. Combine her style of writing with Michael Ferraiuolo's narration? GOLD.

I loved this - the voices, the storytelling, and getting to hear Ethan and Charlie brought to life. Highly, highly recommend Lynn's writing!

Short, Steamy and Kinky

This is a very enjoyable steamy short story about how Charlie and Ethan got together. They found exactly what they needed in each other, Ethan found his Daddy and Charlie found his Good Boy.
Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo does a fabulous job.

A meeting by chance

When Ethan ends up at a party he did not want to be at, he makes him grumpiness known.
Charlie comes across him by chance and their attraction could not be denied.
What they get from each other is a fulfillment like no other and they both realise that they have so much more to offer one another.

The humor, snark, brattiness, movie references and character development was fantastic in this plot.

The narration was amazing and Michael does his characters justice.
A tale that will have you laughing at many points.

Daddy finally finds his perfect Boy

Be My Mistake is a prequel to the North Shore Stories Series by Lynn Van Dorn. It is a hilarious Valentine's Day tale that is a mix of sweet and steamy with a sexy Daddy who finally finds his own perfect twink to love. This story is a true gem and I highly recommend it.

The narrator is Michael Ferraiuolo who does an amazing job bringing the story to life for the audiobook audience. Different voices for the characters that allow the personality through. The voicework is fantastic and the recording is clear and smooth.

Short and Steamy Valentine

This was a nice intro into the series, I hadn't read this one but have read the rest of the series and was curious about Ethan in Damage Control. I loved getting his story it's a little borderline on the consent and some may have issues with that. Ferraiuolo does a fantastic job with the narration. Overall a nice quick listen.

RomCom But More

I was prepared for another roller coaster ride of emotions with this one. I was a bit relieved that it wasn't what I was expecting. I laughed out loud a few times on some parts, the banter and comebacks are on point!

Ethan and Charlie's story reminds of romantic comedy movies but their characters are more defined, maybe scarred. But their happy ending is very much well-deserved.

I enjoy a light daddy kink. This one feels just right. Michael, stellar job, as usual!

Make no mistake, take a listen and enjoy! ^_^

A Perfect Romance, Ferraiuolo is Wonderful

This was my first story by Lynn Van Dorn, and Be My Mistake is just as gorgeous the second time around. Heck, it was even better because, performed by Michael Ferraiuolo, it's a decadent Valentine's Day treat. (I know that was corny, but this novella is just that good!)

Perfect as a standalone romance, and if you liked Damage Control, you'll enjoy Tyler and Purvi's cameos, but you definitely don't have to read any of the other North Shore Stories novels to get the most out of Be My Mistake.
