Publisher's Summary

Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod. Bayside Summers is a series of standalone steamy romance novels featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're fun, flirty, flawed, deeply emotional, always passionate, and easy to relate to.

Gavin is about to find out that Harper really does exist-and she's going to knock his socks off! Find out for yourself in Bayside Romance!

When screenwriter Harper Garner got a shot at the big-time in LA, she celebrated her brave cross-country move with her first and only one-night stand - connecting so deeply with the sexy, brilliant man, she broke the number-one rule of one-night stands and left her phone number. Not hearing from him was only the first in a long line of hope-shattering, confidence-busting blows. Ten months later, Harper is done with men and done with LA. She pulls up her big-girl panties and heads home to Cape Cod to start over.

On the surface, interior designer Gavin Wheeler has it all: a successful business, a loving family, and a close-knit group of friends. But Gavin once endured a heartbreak so painful, he was sure he'd never feel anything for a woman again. A chance encounter at a music festival with a gorgeous, down-to-earth blonde proved him wrong, but when morning came, the woman who made him crave more was gone.

A serendipitous evening reunites Harper with her devastatingly delicious one-night stand, and the connection is just as intense as she remembered. Harper's life is too unsettled for a relationship, but Gavin is determined to help her find her way, especially if it leads straight to his heart. Moonlight conversations lead to steamy kisses, and as romance blooms, it stirs a love too real to deny. But when Gavin's past collides with the life they're building, it has the power to ruin everything.

great book

*Edit to original review* I just listened to the audiobook narrated bySavannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan. I live listening to books. It makes my drive to and from work bearable. Gavin and Harper met at a music festival They wound up having a one night stand. In the one night they hit it off. They had such a strong attraction. They never forget each other. By chance meeting months later they met up at a barnfire. They never knew they had mutual friends in common. Harper's friend spoke of her, however, Gavin always though her name was Parker. Harper returned a little damaged from California. Her show was cancelled and had bad relationships. She wasn't ready for a new relationship with Gavin. But oh boy did he win her over. This was another amazing story by Melissa Foster. I love how she incorporates characters from her other series. You will not be disappointed. Definitely a must read. There's a HEA with no cliffhangers. *I reviewed this book voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide a review and receiving no compensation of any kind for this review.

Sweet second chance romance

Okay, I have to start by giving a shout out to the narrators they are awesome and deserve tons of praise! Harper is coming down from a blow to her career and her confidence. She finds herself seeking solace in friends when former fling Gavin shows up. I truly love Gavin I think there is something so special about how much he lifts Harper up. He truly helps rebuild her confidence and brings her out of her funk. 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

Gavin and Harper

Audiobook Review… Dual talented narrators, an amazing story, and wonderful characters. Put all these together and you are listening to a perfect audiobook. Melissa Foster wrote the perfect story, Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan used their amazing voices to tell the perfect story, and Harper and Gavin are the characters that needed their story told. The narrators took turns telling Harper and Gavin’s stories. Savannah would tell Harper’s part of the story bringing alive the fear of being seen as a failure, the love she has for her friends and Gavin, and the uncertainty at what her future will hold. Jacob used his wonderful voice for the strong and self-assured Gavin telling how he was afraid to open his heart again, how he loved Harper completely, and how important his friends and family are to him. Together the narrators brought Melissa Foster’s story to live with their voices. They shared the love, the emotion, and the truths that make up the couple of Gavin and Harper. eBook Review…Have you ever met someone and knew instantly that they would make a difference in your life? You then had to go your separate ways and you think you’ll never see them again but are not able to stop thinking of them. That is the story of Harper and Gavin. They meet, they have a one-night stand, and Harper goes sneaking off to avoid saying goodbye. Amazingly they meet again. The attraction is still there, the heat is still there but Harper is cautious at starting any relationship. Gavin refuses to give her up but knows that he must tread carefully and teach her to trust not only him but herself first. I love love love how patient he was. He taught her that she knew what was right and to trust herself, but he still let her know how much he wanted her without putting pressure on her to take their relationship to the next level. Gavin not only earn her trust and her love, but he helps her accept that things happen, good and bad, for a reason and they can help you come out a better person. Pick up this amazing book immediately. Fall into Gavin and Harper’s story, meet the amazing characters in Bayside, and learn what real love is.

Wonderful beach read

Gavin and Harper's story was such a nice read. It was wonderful how they connected from the beginning and the connection was there when they meet again. I enjoyed the story and all of the characters. Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood did a fantastic job narrating. They bought the story and characters to life.

must i cry with each new installment

Harper (aka Parker) was back home and Gavin finally gets to meet the elusive Harper. But he has meet this woman before. It was a defining moment in his life. Harper had a story to tell and not just that she had already meet Gavin before on a whim. Gavin had somethings that needed to be laid bare and some was not expected or even remembered. Ever the gentleman, Gavin shows you why some men are just meant to be so much more. With this installment in the Bayside Summers series you are lured in by the chance to fall in love again with a different couple in Bayside. The beaches and the setting of a small-town within a Cape Cod community is where you will find friends and some familiarity. The best part of all the reads are that you find old friends from previous reads. You also get the chance to make new friends. Gavin had his chance at the once in a lifetime connection but he wakes to find her gone. Harper did the one thing she never does. She jumps feet first in to a one night stand that spurs her to do another first. She leaves her number and hopes for the best. Sad to say she gets disappointed. Their one night encounter weighs on both of them until that chance second meeting. Things get the chance to change to something more or less. Its all in how you see things. Watching it all unfold was what you come to expected and anticipate from Melissa Foster. Fun. Flirty. Some sass. Friendships. Courtships. Misunderstanding. Reconciliation. There was sadness, sorrow, pain, hurt, and a few tears. I would not quite call it a second chance, but more of a second chance to make a first chance at love more. Gavin and Harper both have things holding them back at the same time pushing them forward to each other. When life pushes hard its the way the two of them handle it that shows you the way they will move forward in their lives together. Melissa Foster has this way about giving a story substance, friendship, a sense of family, love, respect, and bonding. While still providing strength, courage, and protectiveness into both of the lead characters. She always find a way to let you catch up with those from the past while creating a future for and current side character or a new one all together. Love reading her romances. Yes, I cried with this read also but not quite as much as other reads from this series. You could feel the hurt, pain, sorrow, confusion. This was so much of what I have come to expect from Melissa's stories. It gave a feel of the world and the lives of two people that find more then tomorrow in each other. Savannah and Jacob bring to life characters that I have had the pleasure to fall in love with and bring to life others we just now get to meet or see more of. Each character have a distinction of character and voice. The story plays out well with the pitch, tone, and clarity of the narration.

Very slow story line....

Ok, I am half way through this book and right now I could care less if I finish it or not. Here's the problem: first of all, whatever the "storyline" here is that the author is heading towards still has not been brought to even a hint half way through the book. There is no direction - at all. I find myself just wanting to fast forward chapters so I can see if anything changes, and that to me isn't a good thing. Secondly - the narration. Jacob Morgan, who is a personal favorite, does great as usual, but Savannah just didn't hit the mark on this book. I do like her, don't get me wrong, but for some reason her narration in this book was nerve grating. She narrates fine until the dialog changes to character, then it's just all wrong. Drawn out syllabels which I do not like, wispy breaths, and her "male" narration makes each and every male character sound like a grunting 80 year old. So, between being bored and being annoyed with the narration, I'm going to have to say that while it isn't overall terrible, it isn't edge of your seat, keep you guessing, figure out the story either. I don't know - maybe I'll try listening again at a later date. I just can't give it anymore time right now.

Bayside is the place to be

I’m new to this series but this was great as a standalone. I’m pretty sure I have several ebooks in the series but no time to read. Thus this audiobook. Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan are professionals and really shine in their performance of Harper and Gavin in this audiobook. There was so much that happened in this book. First time one night stand where both thought it should have been more yet they lost track of one another. Then fate steps in to give them another chance at something more. Really enjoyed this book and well I listened to it as a standalone, I really want to hear/read the others. Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, I recommend this audiobook. 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

Great narration

Bayside Romance stands alone, but it would be better to read it as part of the Love in Bloom series. I read all the Love in Bloom books available 2 years ago. I like how the characters are all connected, but it was a little tough to remember all the details of the connections now. I love the series as a whole, but it took me awhile to get into Bayside Romance because the characters' actions didn't really make sense to me. Who sets a girl they like up with someone else? Everything did eventually become clearer, though about halfway through I was thinking they story was in a really good place and I was surprised by how much was left. Of course, there was a relationship drama detour that I found a little excessive and a super sweet (maybe sappy) ending, but I still liked the story overall, especially the recurring character appearances. I would have actually rated the story higher if it had ended before the last round of relationship drama. The narration was great, and there was a moment where I think Jacob Morgan was singing, but it was so subtle I almost missed it. Actually singing the song lyrics, making the words sound muffled or mumbled, etc.--making the story come alive-- are the little details that make audio performances stand out over others. This review team was new to me, but I really liked it and would definitely listen to more narrated by Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan. #AudiobookObsession

swooning over Gavin n Harper

This was a first time author for me. This book was amazing. I was pulled in from the start. Each character brought out the best in each other. You could sense the one night was not enough. Imagine when they found each other 1 year later. it is like they were never apart.. Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood are spot on with the narration. It flowed beautifully. 🎧audiobookobsession

Great listen and story

While this book is part of a series it can be listened to as a stand-alone. However, I would recommend reading/listening to the others just for the character backgrounds. It is a sweet story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. The narrators did a great job bringing it to life and the author has this ability to write stories that suck you in and make you forget everything around you. Love this series and would recommend. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
