Publisher's Summary

When I wake up on the ice planet, I'm scared of everything: This place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I'm going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister.

I'm completely and utterly alone. What's a girl to do?

Well, this girl escapes. Of course, that means I go from frying pan into the fire, and my situation gets even more dangerous.

Just when I have no hope left, a new hero appears. Sure, he's blue, horned, and has a tail. He's also fierce, protective, makes me purr...and thinks I'm perfect. But is what we have real or just a mating instinct?

Contains mature themes.

Lila & Rokan.

Another great addition, and as with the first book there was a lot of communication problems between the humans and their barbarians. But one thing is universal, if your quie is going off then it is baby making time. I liked the fact that we had some interaction with the Metlak’s, besides them just being vicious. I had hoped that there would be more communications between the species. But it is what it is. Both narrators are good and I look forward to listening to Maddie’s book, even if she is a bit of a bitch in this book, I still feel it will be good.

Good storyline!

This audiobook in the Ice Planet Barbarian series has a deaf heroine named Lilah and s Sahkhui named Rokan meeting each other after she’s removed from stasis on the crashed alien ship. Dismayed to find her cochlear implant has been removed, Lilah has little in the way of communication except for her pushy, overprotective sister who is also kidnapped.
After getting their khui, Lilah is stolen away by an over eager tribe member who is hoping for Resonance- which doesn’t happen. When she’s rescued by Rokan from a Metlock cave, they resonate. Can they learn to communicate and find love? Narration was excellent !

So sweet and tender!

OMG!

I loved it Sooo much. I loved how tender Rokan is with Lilah!

Lilah comes out of stasis without her cochlear implants. She's cold and deaf, surrounded by aliens that she thinks look like devils, and with only her sister for help.

Shortly after getting her khui, Hassen kidnaps her and takes her to a clean cave.

She was NOT impressed. She was terrified. She runs away, gets kidnapped by metlaks, rescued by Rokan, resonates to Rokan, inputs ASL into the elders' cave's computer, gets caught in an avalanche with Rokan, rescued by a metal, tends Rokan back to health. And right when she's about to mate....... her angry sister shows up, lol.

They return to the tribal cave and there's a party. A resonance party, plus she brought fruit. And finally, they mate. Maddie is sooooo NOT happy about it but she accepts it eventually.

He is so sweet with her and so accepted even with her disability. It is sooooo sweet.

more women!

It turns out there were two more women in stasis on the alien slavers’ ship that Kira was able to crash.
Sisters Lila and Maddie go to sleep in warm Arizona and wake up on a freezing planet with large blue aliens who call themselves the sa-khui.
Lila panics when she wakes up without her cochlear implants; so on top of everything else, she’s deaf again.
They get their khui, but in the confusion of a skyclaw attack, she’s kidnapped by a desperate Hassen who tries to force resonance. Lila puts up with him for 2 weeks and she decides to escape. Of course, she falls into a Metlak cave. But it’s Rokan who finds her and, yes, they resonate. She learns to appreciate him as he protects her, but is clueless as to what resonance means. It takes a while before they work it out and they have their sexy times.
Good if you like the series.
Jackson and Lloyd do a good job of narration - their voices fit the series. I like that she reads chapters from Lila POV; he reads chapters from Rokan POV.

Good to have these books in audio

Just wish the men would read the man's part and woman's part read by Hollie. Not just chapter by chapter.
But I would recommend to and have really enjoyed this series

***Barbarian's Touch***

I enjoyed this book in it digital format but I loved it in audio format. It's amazing the difference when you are reading yourself and listening someone else read it for you. Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd are two of the best narrator's out there their voices are incredibly diveresed.
