Story
On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

Once upon a time there was a version of our faith that was practically...irresistible. But that was then. Today we preach, teach, write, and communicate as if nothing has changed. As if “The Bible says it” still settles it. It’s time to hit pause on much of what we’re doing and consider the faith modeled by our first-century brothers and sisters who had no official Bible, no status, and humanly speaking, little chance of survival. What did they know that we don’t? What made their faith so compelling, so defensible, so irresistible? Buckle up...you’re about to find out.

Best-selling author John MacArthur gives readers a fresh look at how Jesus addressed attacks against the truth. Meek and mild. Politically correct. A great teacher. These are the popular depictions of Jesus. But they aren't the complete picture. Maybe because it's uncomfortable, or maybe because it's inconvenient, Christians and non-Christians alike are overlooking the fierceness of the Savior, His passionate mission to make the Gospel clear and bring people into the Kingdom of God.

It can no longer be assumed that most people - or even most Christians - have a basic understanding of the Bible. Many don’t know the difference between the Old and New Testament, and even the more well-known biblical figures are often misunderstood. It is getting harder to talk about Jesus accurately and compellingly because listeners have no proper context with which to understand God’s story of redemption. In this basic introduction to faith, D. A. Carson takes seekers, new Christians, and small groups through the big story of scripture. He helps listeners to know what they believe and why they believe it.

It's okay to have questions. But you need answers you can trust. How can I know there is a God? How can I know the Bible is true? How can I know there is life after death? How can I know how to forgive someone who has hurt me? You’re not alone in wrestling with doubts and uncertainties: Every one of us - no matter our age - has questions about these real-life concerns. What’s more, many Christians can’t readily explain the reason for their hope, as 1 Peter 3:15 advises. In How Can I Know? Dr. Robert Jeffress tackles the seven most common and consequential of these questions and makes a compelling case for answers you can embrace with confidence.

Story
Almost 60 percent of those in American evangelical churches believe that many religions can lead to eternal life. But if Jesus is to be trusted when he says that no one comes to the Father except through him, the church is failing in its mission. And it's not hard to guess why. An exclusive Jesus just isn't popular in our inclusive world. Dr. Robert Jeffress calls on Christians to recover the exclusive claims of the one they claim as Lord and Savior, not as a way to keep people out of heaven but as the only way to invite them in.

Daniel's story is one of extraordinary faith in God lived out at the pinnacle of executive power. It tells of four teenage friends, born in the tiny state of Judah about 26 centuries ago, but captured by Nebuchadnezzar, emperor of Babylon. Daniel describes how they eventually rose to the top echelons of administration. Daniel and his friends did not simply maintain their private devotion to God; they maintained a high-profile witness in a pluralistic society antagonistic to their faith.

Publisher's Summary
It's time to correct the madness.
Are you sure the beliefs you hold about the history of humanity are true? Have you ever wondered where biblically-based accounts and centuries-old traditions are rooted?
When the earliest civilizations began documenting the activities of humanity for posterity, they opened a field for recorded history upon which many would seek to play a part. Therefore, modern civilizations have trouble distinguishing recorded truth from recorded lies. Unraveling the truth of our origin is a task that calls for exceptionally sharp reasoning skills.
In Bamboozled!, Timothy Aldred reveals the paradigm of deception to which generations of people have been taught to surrender their hearts and minds - in blind faith.
Who gains from the mindless devotion of the populace, generation to generation?
Come aboard for a refreshingly exciting and unbiased view of humanity's true origin! Examine ancient accounts of the early years, and how they compare to the theologically faith-based views that have been used to control and manipulate millions of people for millennia.
Best of all, as never before, learn how to demystify and unravel biblical mysteries using good reason and accurate distinction. It is time to free your mind from over 2000 years of conditioned belief patterns. It's vital for living!

Free-thought, Thought-provoking
What made the experience of listening to Bamboozled! Besieged by Lies, Man Never a Sinner the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed how the author incorporated history, humor and personal circumstance to bring relevance to a subject many find hard to digest.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bamboozled! Besieged by Lies, Man Never a Sinner?
Most memorable moment was when the church took Mr. Aldred to court! I listened to that chapter 2 times. It was quite entertaining!
What does Ana Clements bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I have listened to many audiobooks with English-accents and Ana Clements is by far the best. She had a sense of control to every word, making careful distinction to accentuate certain parts, which brought further emphasis. She has a very soothing voice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"Let Me Tell You How You've Been Bamboozled" or "Facts Don't Lie"
Any additional comments?
The transparent walk through different scripture references highlights a multitude of disparity and lends itself to logical and sound reasoning if one would find it difficult to open up to reason. I admire the author for putting it out there.

Slap that Christian arse
Sometimes ya just gotta tell it how it is. I enjoyed it. Spend many years studying Christianity. Could have spent less time if I'd had read this first. But this bold text wasn't around when I started. Which in some ways makes it all the more enjoyable now. Earlier, if it had been might have been a little disturbing at its matter of fact.
Mr Aldred certainly does that. Anybody wanting to get to he source of all religions on this planet a good place to start is in Sumer.
I love the authors style of writing. It seems refreshing for some reason. Not good enough at English to explain why. I prefer numbers, much more logical.
As time goes by the truth will be released to more and more humans. Only then will our spices free the chains of ignorance. Time in the end will make sure of that.
Enjoy.

Story
Did Jesus really exist? Is there real historical evidence that demonstrates that He lived and actually said and did the things the Gospels record? Is there any validity to the speculative claims that the Jesus story was a myth borrowed from a variety of pagan cultures of the ancient world? In this follow-up to the book God's Not Dead (which inspired the movie), Man, Myth, Messiah looks at the evidence for the historical Jesus and exposes the notions of skeptics that Jesus was a contrived figure of ancient mythology.

Story
For us Jews who grew up in Israel, Jesus and his word were never part of the conversation. Not in our school system, not in our synagogues, and not in our media. Nor do we have easy access to the New Testament. Jesus has been studiously avoided and hidden from our people. After almost 2,000 years, Jesus, or as we call him in Hebrew, Yeshua, can no longer be hidden from the people! Now, we can explain the Gospel to our people in a way that makes sense to them, in our own native tongues of Hebrew and Arabic, as only Israelis can and help our people understand who Yeshua really is.

Story
The Jewish Gospel of John is not, by any standard, another book on Jesus of Nazareth written from a Jewish perspective. It is an invitation to the listener to put aside their traditional understanding of the Gospel of John and to replace it with another one more faithful to the original text perspective. The Jesus that will emerge will provoke you to rethink most of what you knew about this gospel.

Story
What if the Bible actually keeps us from hearing the Word of God? For many Christians, the Bible is the only way to know anything about God. But according to that same Bible, everyone can know God directly through an actual relationship with Jesus. Jesus Unbound is an urgent call for the followers of Jesus to know Him intimately because the Gospel is not mere information about God, but a transformational experience with a Christ who is closer to us than our own heartbeat.

Story
If someone were to ask you what was the theme of Jesus' preaching, what would be your answer? Man's need for salvation? God's love for mankind? The new birth? To be sure, Jesus spoke about all of those things. And they're all essential truths. But none of them were the theme of his teaching. The theme of Jesus' message was the kingdom of God. Wherever he went, Jesus preached about the kingdom. The irony is that the message of the kingdom is almost totally missing from the gospel that's preached today.
