From the USA Today and internationally bestselling author, Lauren Rowe, comes a sexy standalone romantic comedy: Ball Peen Hammer.

Keane Morgan wouldn’t return any of my calls or texts, and I was pissed as hell about it. I didn’t want to drive from Seattle to L.A. with the guy any more than he wanted to drive with me, but I had no frickin’ choice in the matter—at least, not if I wanted to use his brother Dax’s coveted parking spot at UCLA.

Okay, so it turned out Keane was objectively gorgeous, and, fine, pretty funny, too. But did he have to be so damned in love with himself? I mean, jeez, the cocky way he flashed those dimples was just so orchestrated. And, honestly, what kind of guy uses the phrase “baby doll” with a straight face? Oh, that’s right: the kind of guy who’s a male stripper.

Yup, the cocky jerk turned out to be Seattle’s answer to Magic Mike, a stripper known as “Ball Peen Hammer”—which meant Keane Morgan was emphatically not the kind of guy I’d ever fall for.

Not. At. All.

No freakin' way.

Well, until Keane convinced me to fall for him, that is.

Which I did.

Hard.

NOTE: Ball Peen Hammer is a standalone spicy, funny, forced proximity romantic comedy with feels that's interconnected with the books of The Morgan Brothers but can be listened to first and on its own with no prior listening required.

This started out slow for me. It was interesting but easily put down in the beginning. But, I'm glad I picked it up again. Once they got on the road, things got more interesting and engaging. It wasn't just silly, but playful banter. And, and more depth emerged. I ended up really liking this story and felt it had a good balance of humor and realism. It was a fun read, with humor and some depth.

BPH

I loved this love story and I think that it was well worth the credit. I agreed with one reviewer that mentioned if they heard "bruh" one more time that they were going to lose it. However, once I just accepted that it was part of the character, and focused on the story, I throughly enjoyed this book.

A little annoying but the story is worth it

Would you consider the audio edition of Ball Peen Hammer to be better than the print version?

The audio version was exceedingly better than the print version. Not that the book wasn't great, but the audio brought the infamous Ball Peen Hammer to life- it was extremely well done and made this character!!

Which scene was your favorite?

Every scene in the car where Keane and Maddy are bantering back and forth is fantastic. You'd think when 75% of a book is two people in a car, it would get old, but you actually crave their every interaction for more banter just to hear what Keane will say next.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It's not edge of your seat suspense. It was awesome, relaxing and funny. I wanted it to last for a while because it was so great. It was a good break from all the drama filled books I've read/listened to lately.

This was hilarious.

Crazy brother Keane Penie is still trying to find himself while making a living as a male stripper. He gets to know Hannah Banana’s (Hen the Hacker’s girl) younger sister on a road trip. Lots of flirty banter but they take 3/4 of the book to get together and then have a sad separation while Penie gets his act together. Eventually they get back on track but both are young and at the start of their careers so know scenes of their future life unlike the 2 older brothers. So many of these books have overlapping timelines and there are some inconsistencies as book 1 is written later. The most recent book , Smitten also has and update on Penie.
The narration was acceptable better than some of the previous performances form the earlier books.

Cute rom/com about wackiest Morgan brother
