spicy short story

The narrator was great at making the voice for Michelle seem believable. This was a short, spicy story that was elevated by the amazing narration!

Dayyyuuuuummmmmmmm

I binged this audiobook in a single sitting while cleaning my house, and was I glad that I had my headphones fully charged. This was so deliciously spicy, perfectly dark in the right areas, and holy smokes it hit all of the right tropes!

This is my first book that I've read by Quinn Rivers, and I am now a permanent fan for life. Plus, the narration from Chase was absolutely amazing. I could easily tell who was talking, and I am very excited to say that his "girl voice" is one of the very few that I would be fine listening to on a normal basis (which is saying A LOT)

We get to follow these characters go through the confusion of what really makes this relationship "taboo" while still exploring some amazingly spicy scenes. I love that the MMC was apart of the OF lifestyle and had a bunch of different mask options, while still being a hard working mechanic focused on making his life better. Our amazing FMC over here is smart as all get out and her stalking him first was just PERFECT! I seriously could not scream any louder for how much I loved this book.

5 stars all around and 5 peppers - literal perfection.

Hitting all of the Kinks

This was a super fun novella. It hit all of the dark romance tropes we love: stalking, taboo love (although step cousins aren’t taboo for me, I know the pearl clutchers will clutch), masks, primal play, blackmail, unhinged FMC, all-in MMC, sex work, lots of kinky spice…yeah…it hits them all! It was a fun ride and I definitely recommend!

Chaise Laroit did a phenomenal job as both FMC and MMC. It takes a talented narrator to be able to do both without it being awkward. The emotions were there (and were hot). Trust me, he will keep you invested. But fair warning, you might be blushing your way though his narration. I know I sure was.

All-in-all a really satisfying audiobook! Give it a taste, you won’t be disappointed!

Fast, dark and kinky

This was a quick, dark and spicy listen that kept me engaged the whole time. In this a forbidden/taboo story where Michelle, a cybersecurity student, finds thirst trap videos by a guy with an Anubis mask…on detailed observation she recognizes her step cousin Sean. She becomes so obsessed with his content and him, that she stalks him everywhere (online and in real life). Sean works as a mechanic. He’s constantly posting content on his page, but misses his hometown and feels lonely. He always has thought that Michelle is beautiful and interesting. They have incredible chemistry. I loved the sassy side of Michelle and the possessive side of Sean. The story is fast paced and the author gave us great plot twists. The narrator did an excellent job. He gave us intention with each character. He kept me engaged throughout the story. If you love dark romances with masks and kinks, this is the book for you.

Dark Romance

This quick read by @quinnrivers_author is impossible to put down! A devious blend of taboo romance, a masked man and darker themes of stalking and CNC, this gives the vibes of Lights Out but a bit darker and waaaayyyy spicier!

The single narration by @chase.laroit.naarator is on point. He reads with appropriate inflection and conviction so you can feel each character accurately. He reads our masked MMC perfectly. If you have a mask kink, he will have you swooning and picturing yourself in the scene.

Overall, a quick read with plenty of spice as well as a plot that will keep you engaged until the very end.
