I’ve really enjoyed The Order of Architects series, and Book 9 keeps the momentum going. The story continues to expand the world, characters, and progression without losing what made the earlier books enjoyable. There’s a good mix of action, character development, and progression that kept me interested throughout.

Kevin T. Collins does an excellent job with the narration. The characters are easy to distinguish, and his performance adds a lot of personality and energy to the story.

If you’ve enjoyed the previous books, this one is definitely worth picking up. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.

the logic in the story is genuinely awful, I know it's a world with magic but there's no way people in power would act in the ways described here.

get past that little kink though and the story is fun. the only other hiccup I'd say is the units of measurement, irl these countries primarily use the metric system, but the story only uses the imperial system.

Even Superman has weaknesses

This author has gone way overboard on the OP nature of the main character. It’s taken any joy or excitement out of the series. Let’s just turn the dust in the air to a deadly weapon.. why not?
The reader also does this horrible shouting thing for every enemy like a baby throwing a tantrum.

Together it makes what in earthly books was an exciting story and harsh, boring, and unimaginative slop with zero literary ingenuity to its structure.
