A tense and emotional ride

Set in the MM universe, the story is a stand alone adventure into the meaning of sacrifice, brotherhood and duty. The tense ambiguous moral battle of soldier, father and leader comes through in the detailed and descriptive writing and puts you on the journey through the unpredictable and deadly Congo. It evokes an intense emotion and shaky empathy not found in the other books in this series. One of my favorites and worth the time.

one of the best military thrillers I've ever read. starting immediately and doesn't let you relax.

An Africa I Didn’t Know, Nor a Continent I Understand

This work of fiction got me thinking about a place we as a western society have a hard time understanding.

From the beginning to the end I couldn’t stop listening and I got emotionally attached to every character in the story each with their own uniquely qualities that moves the story along as they race to survival.

The best audiobook I have listened to this year.

Great characters and surprising story.

Pleasantly surprised by this one and hope there will be more. The character depth and development is very well done, and the story bigger and fresher than I expected.

Strongly recommend for any audience.

Voodoo

There were some errors in description of the African wildlife, military procedure was also dumbed down for civilian consumption. A reliance on the metric system wasn’t particularly American. Other than that, it was quite enjoyable and worth a listen
