Dantes had his revenge, but he wants more.

With his former crew dealt with, Dantes and Jacopo have new goals. They’ve carved out midtown as their territory, but that’s just the start. It’s a druid’s job to grow his territory, to spread, and Dantes intends to live up to his responsibilities.

Unfortunately, it won’t be as easy as just shaking down a few shops for protection money and managing some smuggling. There’s a plague spreading, the eyes of the Fingers are on him, and there may be war on the horizon.

On top of all that he has one last score to settle.

Will his ever growing powers and Jacopo’s new form be enough?

Book 3 in a progression fantasy series perfect for fans of Dishonored, The Blacktongue Thief, The Lies of Locke Lamora, and Baldur’s Gate!

About the Series: A slow-burn progression fantasy focused on an Anti-hero MC with a code rising through the criminal underworld of a city-state using newfound powers and quick wits. MC's powers will develop slowly, but he will use them in creative ways to get ahead, and in the meantime he'll do whatever it takes.

I followed this series on patreon and then fell off at book three. I'm so happy I waited for the audioboom. Heath Miller did this series justice and I'm glad it was given the chance to soar.

for lovers of Lies of Locke Lamora and He who Fights with Monsters. read/listen to this series!

a solid ending to a solid series.

What wonderful closure to this series. Always interesting, the places that the plot goes. Very much enjoyed the never-ending circle of characters and their individuality. As always, Heath is magnificent in bringing the story to life.

Amazing! Definitely will be a book reread.

A good final chapter for this story. My only complaint is it felt like two books rolled into one

Fantastic conclusion

The author did a great job of bringing the trilogy to a close, giving the MC and many enjoyable supporting characters interesting parts in the story, and staying true to the MC’s dodgy moral compass.

A Satisfying Ending To The Trilogy

While the ending did feel a little rushed, the quality didn't suffer. It's a small flaw of CB Titus, where he writes stories that always feel like they need one more book to be fully fleshed out. Still, the world's, characters, and stories are always wildly compelling and satisfying. Cannot recommend something more.

Need a series about Jack next, please!
