The characters development the actual good the two talking about the development of their relationship.

The flash backs to his trauma bit to many times. It feels kinda over dramatic dwellers on it more than anything else.

Cringe meak mc

So many stupid cringy decisions that i lost count and the constant referral to his trauma gets old quick. The first half the book was decent but it went down hill after

MC was a wuss

great story, poor execution. the story would work better with a more normal but less wimpy cry baby mc.

Solid book

Overall I enjoyed it. There's a bit of an issue with pacing where dealing with Arthur's past is concerned, and it feels like the book should be 50% longer. My biggest complaint is that Arthur is very, very dumb, and that stupidity is facilitated by all the seemingly competent people around him in service to the plot. The suspension of disbelief required for the last 25% of the book is substantial.

That being said, there is a massive amount of potential here, and I think the author is capable of realizing it. I will be buying the next book.
