After having foiled multiple assassination attempts during his training, fighting pirates, and encountering a group of terrorists bent on destroying entire solar systems. Desmond McLaughlin thought he’d have an easier time of it on official deployment.

Which of course leads into an honor duel with another adept, more encounters with the terrorists, and learning from an Imperial Quester that the terrorists were actually a cult believed to be sponsored by one of the Hegemony’s neighbors.

One would think that Desmond would learn to not tempt fate at this point....

But that was not enough for the Clan Sire of Clan McLaughlin. Even trying to keep his head down and stop causing problems—as Captain Skytreader requested—Desmond can’t help but find trouble as the Fist of Defiance finally gets its replacement adepts and they head back onto their patrol route with the rest of the Seventh Border Fleet. At least he’s got his fifth guard picked out, now just to decide who will take the sixth slot on his team.

The question that haunts Clan McLaughlin now is: what sort of trouble might they run into next? Accidentally sparking off an intergalactic war? Having a Rift go nova on them? Or maybe—just maybe—Fate might cut her favorite squeaky toy a break.

Not likely.

Monster Girls in Space is a sci-fi, fantasy, semi-military, men’s romance, progression fantasy about a man becoming a space-wizard amongst a universe full of monster girls (it’s in the title, you should have expected that part). Expect adventure, mischief, magic, fighting, and unconventional relationships in a galaxy that is curious what sort of mischief humanity will get up to.

I love the entire book

I love this entire book The voice acting was still great The storyline was awesome cannot wait for the next audio I know the physical book is out already or something like that please hurry up with audio

Bunch of nothing...

so careful of his girls opnions and feelings except getting pets is forced on them. They already have little space, Now push 3 untrained pets into the mix! Pets do nothing for the story. Your writing strength lies elsewhere...

I love this series and will continue.
but this is the weakest book in the series.
I will have to re-listen the previous 5 books to maybe enjoy this one more.

Excellent continuation to Desmond’s story

Book 6 does not disappoint me on the series. It has the right combination of action and story that progresses in a smooth way. The books I read from the author have spicy scenes that are written in a separate chapter and can easily be skipped without losing story plot. As with the previous books the narrators do an excellent job. I read the book in kindle format(I am a bit impatient to continue the story), but the audiobook with the narrators just adds a bit more. I would highly recommend the series starting at book one for anyone that likes a fusion of magic and SciFi.

Another great book in the series

This continues a series of books that have been one of my favorites. In regards to where a place is in the series I would say it’s my second or third favorite. The book also ends with a path for the main character to grow and progress even further than he has already. I highly recommend it

Many series get sequel-itis after the first book or two but this has been great from the start!
