Cute world, a bigger story than expected but very comfortable still. The plot never feels too dangerous so the stakes seem a bit false, but still a fun read.

This book would have been a good candidate for a free sampler but in no way qualifies as something an author who truly respects her readers would attempt to make money on. The book is a loose compilation of semi-stories, partial explorations, and jarring character shifts that amount to no more than monetized practice pieces that should have wound up on the editing room floor. The book mangles the characters and threads of TPC. It’s time to focus on your fans instead of just profits, and don’t insult them by monetizing substandard castoffs.
