Coast Guard Captain Jesse Watkins is killed in action.

Threats to his new existence abound, both in the darkness of space, and lurking aboard the ruined hulk of the ship he now commands. Despite the danger, Captain Watkins has a lifetime of naval service experience to call upon. With the help of his system adjunct, they must rebuild and prepare their vessel for the battles to come.

Captain Watkins must become something more than he was before. He must become a vessel powerful enough to survive the journey home.

There are audiobooks. This is one of them.

Pretty flat story. Not a lot of character development. I won’t be continuing this series.

Nice take on LitRPG / Dungeon core

refreshing take on a saturated concept. Good balance of LitRPG/system and story elements. Liked the sci-fi setting. Good pacing and engaging characters. Excellent narrators, really helped the immersion. worth a credit

It scratches an itch

While this was nothing groundbreaking, it fills an otherwise desolate niche. Not a lot of Dungeon Core as a Spaceship novels to be had, really.

Not quite as good as Deralict, but better than ShipCore.

progression system in the story.

the progression system reminded me of Command & Conquer, Civilization, etc. Felt odd in a book.

Good but

I really liked the idea behind this story and I think it it's breaking new boundaries I just wish it went a little deeper with the characters and the environment. basically I wish it was fleshed out more it would have been a huge improvement to this story.
