Absolutely obsessed!

If you want a quick read with a lot of spice that’s very easy to read this is it! By chapter 3 the story is already getting steamy!! T. L. Smith is my new favorite author ❤️

Smut with a great plot line.

I like my books to have a good plot and pacing. This book did both. I liked the internal dialogue of the characters and their bluntness.

Absolutely obsessed

Dear god this was absolutely amazing! Loved this so much! As per usual TL made an amazing book. The audiobook was perfect!

Surprisingly better than I was expecting!

That was a fun time. I really enjoyed this one and wasn’t sure if I would going into it. But that was a great time and I really liked it. Not overly complicated and being a standalone not overly drawn out either.

This book was a train wreck — an entertaining one, sure, but still a full-blown derailment. The premise had potential, but the execution? Rough. It felt like the author was making it up as they went, then realized halfway through they forgot key plot points and just info-dumped them in like, “oh yeah, that happened because… reasons.” 😭

Plot holes galore. Random info drops. Left turns that came out of absolutely nowhere — like the secret society reveal?? No buildup, no foreshadowing, just surprise secret cult, babe! It all felt like it could’ve been great with some tightening up, but instead it was chaos with a capital C.

And don’t even get me started on the ending. The second hunt? The random forgiveness toward Soren?? Be so for real.

The MFC’s behavior was all over the place too. She started out dark and unhinged (loved that for her), but when it came time to actually lean into that darkness? Nope. Suddenly she’s fragile and waiting to be rescued. Big sigh.
Narration-wise, Blair Thatcher killed it per usual, but it took me a while to warm up to Ryan Hudson’s delivery.
All in all… yeah, this was a waste of a credit. 😔

If I had a choice, I wouldn’t of spent a credit on it, but it was a quick read. Kept me busy for seven hours.
