Expect the usual silliness, slow burn, lots of pining, plenty of scent marking, and a ton of praise for the bestest boy in the Eight and a Half Kingdoms.

Unique and Fun

Bought this book after absolutely loving Jenna Croft’s Shroom For Improvement. I love her writing style that incorporates nature facts with humor. She invents a unique twist on werewolf culture and genetics (Mash) compared to were shifter (Cian). Mash and Cian’s sexual dynamics were a surprise, which I won’t spoil since you’re in for a treat about 2/3 into the story. Great narration!

Previously finished one of his collab books (the one with aliens… HIGHLY RECOMMEND!) and now I know who has the mpreg fetish 🤣. Buff, slutty werewolf meets tatted, hipster wolf shifter as college roommates and both spend the next 15 years obsessing over each other but are too scared to do anything about it. The smut is on another level and HIGHLY enjoyable. Can’t wait for more in this series!

Just Outstanding

I read this book shortly after it released and it’s been one of my top reads of the year. I have eagerly awaited its arrival on audio and it did not disappoint.

I love Mash and Cian so much and the narrators brought them to life beautifully. This will definitely be a re-listen for me.

Not my cup of tea, unfortunately.

So when I read the summary and it said 'scent marking', idk what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't a straight up golden shower scene.

SPOILER for later chapters:
was also not expecting a whole chapter of them fucking as wolves which also made me uncomfortable.

Also fair warning: yes there is mpreg, but it's at the tail end(heh) of the story.

Over all the couple is really sweet and the story is solid, but the kinks were just a bit too much for me. Which is a shame because I liked the first book so much.
