Fall is a big deal in Briar Glen, a quaint and charming village in New England. That's when tourists from all over the country descend upon this picturesque town to see the babbling brooks and colorful leaves while sipping hot chocolate or pumpkin spice lattes.

But sixteen-year-old Lucy Kane hates the uber-popular PSL. She finds it overrated—especially when you consider the fact that there isn't even pumpkin in it!—which is bad because she works at Cup o' Jo, the local coffee shop her mom owns. Business at Cup o' Jo hasn't been great in the off-season, but that's okay because it always picks up during the fall...

Until Java Junction, a multinational coffee chain, opens across the street and makes things harder for the small shop. And to make matters worse, it turns out Jack Harper, the new kid in school and Lucy's secret crush, is the son of the owner. Suddenly, fall doesn't seem like it'll be all it's cracked up to be. Will Lucy find a way to save her mom's coffee shop?

It’s was a good book. The main character was annoying and sometimes a little cringe. I like the story though

A Cute Fall Book

Got this at as B&N $5 Starbucks book of choice and thought it looked cute. Definitely more of the young part of YA but it was a sweet book with sweet moments.

It's was cute

Really short but a very cute story . It felt like a Disney show. It would be great for middle school girls.

Cute autumn story

Very autumn and coming of age book. This book gives a great picture of autumn, teenage struggle and coming to the realization that you don’t have to have all the answers.

A lot about pumpkin spice

I would not call this story a romance unless you put pumpkin spice as something you love or hate. Since I thought it was a romance, it lost a star for me. It was more about a young high school girl named Lucy who is being raised by a single mom. The mom owns a coffee shop in their small home town. It is the feelings when a large chain coffee shop goes in across the street and Lucy’s fear for their coffee shop. She had to learn to like and make her own recipe for pumpkin spice lattes to help save her mom’s shop. She also learned that she needed to focus on being a teen and not just worry about her mom and the shop. She had to figure out her feelings for Jack (the owner of the big chain coffee shop’s son) which really wasn’t completely defined by the end of the book. Maybe there is a sequel.
