This is now my favorite series from this author

This is basically the story of a castoff who becomes a beacon for his people. The main storyline is great and the supporting cast is fantastic. The main character’s relationship with the minor characters is both humorous and dramatic. You really feel how much the main character is invested with those around him. I really can’t wait for the third book.

Mechs!

Amazing mech story that is perfectly narrated with lots of action....I can not wait till the next book!

Great performance, even better story & just keeps getting better

Great characters tied to a better story with great voice acting, hoping for more! While I enjoy all of this author’s (& his various other names) this story and cast of characters really hits home for me!

Enjoyed mech battles, the development of Wayne's load abilitys and Ai introductions.

I really enjoyed the development of Wayne’s load abilities and the introduction of the AI. The tie in at the end with the Privateer’s Commission characters was a great. The story’s progression felt strong and did a great job pulling together many of the loose threads from the first book. Once again, Rebecca and Daniel delivered a top notch narration performance. My only minor issue is that Tink seemed to take a bit of a back seat this time, she mostly appeared in her role as an exceptional mechanic, with less interaction with the other characters. Not bad by any means, just noticeably less presence.

Voices are great and the characters are fun! I love this series and hope the 3rd book comes out soon!!!!

Not as good..but not bad either

I feel the first book was better —not that this one is bad, mind you. I rather enjoyed the feeling of the MC having stuff just fall into his hands in the first book. I certainly didn't get that feeling from this book. It was still enjoyable and well worth the credit it cost. The narration was as good as the first book. There were several times I actually found myself LOLing for real.
