Excellent Feels

The emotion of this book really makes it everything. One of my favorites of the genre and I'm excited for the next book!

Great start to a new series

I like that there’s some substance to the romance. Can’t wait to listen to the next one

Could have been better

14 chapters in and I’ve realized that I really don’t like the angry verbally abusive MC… I really like this author and I’ve been looking forward to this book but the MC had weak magic and never or can’t get stronger… He constantly put his loved ones at risk

Good start to a new series

Good start to a new series, the narrator did a great job on the female LIs. Looking forward to the next book.

Mediocre from start to DNF at 5 hours in

Dialogue and character interacts are too painful to get farther into the story with, and the behavior of characters is so off putting/ridiculous that I could never find myself carrying for any of them. Ended when the MC <spoiler>gets shot in the back with an arrow because he is daydreaming about what to do with the money bandits have stolen. While standing in the middle of the bandits' camp and not being on the look out at all for any dangers in the area.</spoiler> Also, a magic system where people have a limited number of "cores" and each core can only perform one spell (not one element/type of magic... one singular spell) has too be the most boring magic system I have ever encountered.

If you are thinking of giving it a try, don't put yourself through it. It isn't worth it.

It's a decent story

Overall a decent story, but the main character isn't just dense, he's also an extreme broody crybaby. Maybe he'll start to come around later in the series, not sure if I'll get the next book.

Meh. Don't see why the porn scenes are needed.

I've really gotten tired of authors including porn that has nothing to do with the story. The story itself has promise. Execution was lacking. It needs a good rewrite with a decent editor.
