Subtle Powers: A High Fantasy Adventure

The Land of Broken Roads, Book 3

By: Ryan English

Narrated by: Peter Kenny

As new threats emerge, Socks and Dirt face the deepening mysteries of the world in the latest installment of this epic fantasy.

After a summer of adventure, Socks must return to Father to make an accounting of himself. It's time to justify what he's been up to and demonstrate that he remains the predator he was born to be. Failure to meet expectations could easily mean death.

Meanwhile, Dirt continues to receive special tutoring from the trees, which comes with its own set of dangers. They're teaching him to speak with beings who dwell beyond perception, hopefully without accidentally getting himself killed. It's proving to be no easy task.

After Dirt and Socks rescue a young woman, her tribe—primitive horsemen who live in an ancient fort—refuse to take her back. Dirt must tread carefully, because not everything is as it seems. The tribe's ancient entanglements might run deeper than anyone realizes.

The enemies of mankind never rest in the Land of Broken Roads . . .

The third volume of the hit fantasy adventure series—with more than a million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

I love this story and its creativity.

I really liked the 1st two books and the 3rd book as well, though the 3rd only slightly less. Without giving away spoilers, there was a part that was rather complex in explanation that made it rather lengthy and hard to understand. It serves a purpose but I feel it could have been condense a bit to keep pace with the cademce of the book better. Once it moved beyond this particular part, the book is as good as its predecessors.

Awesome story, and world!

Loved the characters, story was strong leaving you wanting more. I hope that it continues to more stories.

More please

These books keep surprising me, and in the very best way. I cannot wait to read more. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for book 4.

Adore this fantasy duo

I could listen to Dirt and Socks do literally anything (especially with Peter Kenny narrating).

Great story.

I like the dialogs between the characters. it was rich and I was looking forward to more. cane wait for the next book.
