Great first story!

Interesting cast of characters with great literary character development. It’s going to be very interesting to see where this series goes.

A bit of a drag compared to the other spin offs but interesting

Story wasn’t as gripping or interesting compared to the main story or the other spin offs books. Just missed the mark in my opinion

This is a wonderful intro to a new series set in the Backyard Starship universe. Wonderful!

Awesome new blend of Backyard Starship

Backyard Starship has been one of my favorite new sci-fi series of the decade. In the First Peacemaker, I am delighted to have enjoyed every bit of the story as much as I did the predecessor series.
Alexander is in 1982, chillin, trying to sell himself to investors so they can fund his research. Actually, he’s not that chill, more like a geek with friend and self esteem issues, yet his penchant for survival endeared me to seeing him succeed.
Every chapter brought surprise and interest as his mission grows more dangerous.
Jeffery Kafer is an ideal narrator both for keeping the lighthearted and adventurous tone of Backyard Starship (and a bit of Quarter Share, iykwim) and for an undeniable improvement in his narrative skills. His characters are unique and funny without losing the possibility of the next line flipping their world upside down.
Hats off to this great new blend of Backyard Starship. Start here or there, it won’t matter. You’ll dig them all.

How'd he watch the Berlin wall fall?

Great story I enjoyed very much but one question. How'd he watch the fall of the Berlin wall (1989) wwhen he left Earth in 1982? 🤔 I'm sure he meant to say the fall of Saigon (1975). 😜
