Del Roosevelt, Champion of the Midden.

The first creature smart enough, strong enough, fast enough to advance in who knows how long, immediately finds himself in jail.

Well, technically, it's a dungeon, but he's spent enough time putting people behind bars to recognize when he ends up there, too.

Now, our little furry force needs to work the system and escape to Ratopolis with the one ally he has left. It seems the only way out is through a series of gladiator-like battles against vile monsters and unbelievable warriors, but no one on this level is actually on the level, so there's gotta be another way.

Menagerie of Mayhem is tower-climbing goodness chock-full of epic fights, deceitful schemes, horrific punishments, and a somewhat threatening gang of mobster squirrels. Tear into a weird and wonderful world of oddball characters and surprising laughs straight from the mind of powerhouse LitRPG author Eric Ugland.

Curious where Eric is taking this series. I'd like to remain spoiler free, but the pacing feels a little slow for major story beats and the banter feels a little excessive with no answer as to why. Nick does a fantastic job with inflection, keeping characters in the right tone/pitch/accent and it was a pleasure listening to his narration.

He's done it again. Great book. For the short hours it never felt short or like it needed more. Very much enjoying this new look on tower climbing. Would read again.

This was an awesome follow up to book one. The bizarre characters and the dark humorous chaos of their pathetic situation was excellent.

Another great one

It was a good story, like all of Ugland's books, but the ending felt quite abrupt, like the author had written himself into an entanglement and then just abandoned the direction he'd been heading because he wanted the book to end.

Good but ending a bit abrupt
