She's a hurricane in disguise. Dangerous. Forbidden.

I fell for a woman for the first time in my life. I never thought the winds of Montana could carry in a storm like Isha George. She's stunningly beautiful. Years younger than me. Definitely a gold digger. She's charming, elegant—and my younger brother's girlfriend.

When Isha sweeps into my life, I'm sure she's a tempest hiding behind a smile as bright as sunshine. And, she has her eyes on the prize—a piece of the Ledger Ranch. My ranch.

So, I do what any good brother and ranch owner would. I steal her away and then proceed to break her heart.

Now, six years later, I see her again. We've both grown up, but one thing hasn't changed. I still want her more desperately than I ever did before. And if there's one thing I learned during our time apart, it's that I'm in love with her even more than I was. I always have been. I always will be. But will she ever forgive me for what I did?

The Sweetest Taboo is a standalone billionaire forbidden love story that is part of the A Modern Vintage Romance series. Books in this series bring back the nostalgia of Harlequin and Mills & Boon romances from the eighties with a modern twist. Meet alpha men who know how to wound but also to grovel, and meet strong women who hold their own.

Contains a bonus novella, More Than a Feeling.

I enjoyed the story and writing style. The addition to the narration made it even better. I definitely would read from this author again.

Great story

NO ONE writes like Maya!!! I highly recommend this novel! I found this story very rough on my heart because the MMC was so cruel at the beginning. The FMC always took the high road (while I wanted her to punch the jerk face MMC just once. Maybe twice!). Both characters grow so much and their love story had me on the edge of my seat! FIVE STARS!!! Please give this one a listen/read!!!

THE BEST!!!

Holy shit this book is crazy. Rowan and Ace are terrible.. Everybody in Rowan‘s family is trash. Isha is way too good for them. I honestly cannot believe that they got back together. I’m glad that she got her happy ending. But holy crap this book is just so painful to read.

I will start by saying I really like the author overall. Some of my favorite second chance stories ever! This one was definitely not my favorite. In the beginning, Callum really grated on me. I feel like I missed any part of any redeeming characteristics of him. He got better. Towards the end I was angry at Isha because that secret seemed fairly unnecessary and almost like martyrdom. And her parents seemed like caricatures because otherwise she would’ve cut them out a long time ago and the evil sister was just a little too much. A bunch of selectively loyal a-holes and an FMC with a humiliation kink because otherwise Damn girl, why would you ever have spoken to your sister or parents after incidents that happened years before? Don’t give me a kick ass FMC with an unexplained mismatched loyalty to a family she owed noting to. Sorry for the rant… I just felt a little betrayed by the character after finding out why she had been keeping a secret. Weak sauce. That was not loyalty that was willful participation in the besmirching of her own character. There was nothing conflicted on the part of the person who she was keeping a secret for… circumstances being what they were it would have been morally acceptable for her to reveal that on behalf of that party and herself. I guess this one touched a nerve for some reason. I felt offended on her behalf. Like, she wouldn’t do that, it makes no sense! Just saying. I know characters have to have flaws but that did not jive with the rest of her character.

Everyone is terrible and Isha’s secret seemed unnecessary
