It’s one thing to read about witches; it’s another thing to discover you are one.

When Glasgow law student David Hunter survives a mysterious attack, he discovers he's a descendant of a long line of witches known as Dream Dancers. Thrust into a hidden world of magic, government conspiracies, and perilous quests, David must master his newfound abilities to protect the mystical Akashic Records—the key to humanity's past, present, and future. Alongside the fiery Jessica Campbell, wise Aunt Gen, and the underworld creature Terence, they face malevolent forces aiming to manipulate reality.

Their adversary is the sinister media mogul Alicia Collins and her clandestine organization, which seeks to drain the world's energy and control the masses through manipulation and deceit. With the British and American governments entangled in conspiracy, the Witches of Scotland are the last line of defence against a global catastrophe known as "The Big Reset." As prophecies unfold and the threat of the Akashic Records being destroyed looms large, alliances are tested, secrets are unveiled, and the ultimate battle between good and evil reaches its climax.

Set in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and brimming with themes of self-discovery, media manipulation, and the quest for belonging, this complete 8-book series offers a mesmerising journey that blurs the lines between myth and reality. Follow David's transformation from an ordinary student to a powerful witch in a gripping narrative filled with fast-paced action, complex characters, and a unique blend of magickal realism and conspiracy thriller.

Whether you're a fan of supernatural thrillers, urban fantasy, or stories of personal transformation, The Witches of Scotland will captivate you from beginning to end. Don't miss out on this spellbinding collection—unlock the magick and get your complete series bundle today!

This one hits close to home, it is contemporary, timely, and very nearly exactly what I already believe to be the “situation” of the world we live in. While the book in no way mentions yoga, the magic system is clearly taken from a yogic fundamental base and extrapolated out into a full on magic system that is believable and even relatable if you’ve spent much time on a spiritual journey that incorporates yoga.
The only critical thing I have to say about it is that it is a first work, and reads as such. That’s not a detractor really, the dedication read by the author at book 7 really made me like him and appreciate him more, but this could have and perhaps should have been 3-4 times longer than it currently is.
Some of the story feels rushed and conclusions feel jumped into, making the story feel somewhat disjointed and jolt-y on the brain. There were moments when I was Like, “ok, that’s not where my brain would have gone with that info… but sure, let’s go with that…” then back into the story you go. Some of the sequencing could have been better and would have improved the story’s timeline, for instance, Jess and David should have gone to the school much earlier on in the story, which would have allowed the author more time to flesh out their experiences, the development of their relationship, and develop the magic system more fully, while developing the characters back at home and their experiences more fully while gaining the readers buy-in more completely. Because, let’s face it, some readers with a particular set of political beliefs and ideas will put this book down in anger and never pick it back up and trash it publicly in protest of the plot line… at least a lot of people in the US would. I personally already felt this way about nearly every aspect of this plot prior to having any clue what these books were about, so I was fine with it and even comforted by the fact that people from other countries clearly see things the same way I do. (An assumption made solely off the fact that the topics addressed in this book are such “hot topics” in today’s world, that they can be immediately polarizing when presented to different people and anyone who writes a book like this more than likely genuinely sees the world very similarly to the events that take place in this series).
I am looking forward to more works from this author, I wish him the best, and I am excited to see him grow as a story teller.

A great premise and engaging story.

Love how the author wove the modern world’s news and challenges into the rich magical world.

Magick and how it is woven realistically into today’s world.

First of all i really liked the series and I'm placing this review as an appreriation of your work as you asked for it.
I really liked how the whole story enrolled and more and more things were discovered. It had nice pace and there were many quite surprising turovers. You kept me most of the time eager to know more and keep listening even in moments when it was not practical 😀.
Unfotrunately, the thing i was missing the most was the humor. I was many times stopping my breathing unvoluntaruly yes it was dramatic but i don't remember being loughing and that seems pitty! I love to lough and when there is srory which is intriguing and also have funny monents i simply cannot resist to listen to it even repeatedly. Your story was for me mostly about the plot but i did not enjoy the dialoguas that much like i do for example with Helen Harper stories. So unlike her stories i dont expect myself to listen to your story again although it was quite enjoyable. And tzlking about the plot. Once again congrats for being able to build such a compliczted and surprisingly structured tale. However, especizlly in the last two books i felt sorry that many of the great ideas led to dead ends. You started many things with the David's training and then did not use it fully and did not continue in it. Also the role of his parznts could be bigger. And the idea that lord Fraser turns suddendly with no real explanation into a main villain and owerpowers Alicia was unexpected and kind of cheap and silly. So with that many dead ends it makes impression that you either would like to continue and hopefully use them in next books or you haven't manage yet to exclude from the story the things which are not serving the srory. In my opinion is much viser to keep the great ideas for other books and use them wisely there. Although i love Terry Pratchetts style where creativity simply oweegrow everything even in his stories there everything seems to be for a reasom. While in your case I had feeling that you were simply sorry to cut off nice tale because you like to listen to your own voice. On one hand i love long stories but to write great short story where is includes everything important is also a real chalenge. Don't tzke me wrong i love long and complicatzd storias but i prefer if there were at least less dead ends. Once again if i should give an example Katharine Kerr manages this perfectly i think. Her stories are very long happening across various centuries and she keeps writing abd filling us about the gaps of her original story and it srill fits. If there is a side track you can be sure she would use it in another saga or simply later. Everything seems in place and i feel like she is telling me a real story of someone's life/s like a good storyteller who ommits unnecesary things and dive deep in a slow pace and engage myriad of details when necessary.
Well and last thing there were few cheesy annoying things like names Joseph Campbell is it because this well known J.C. ? David does it have anything with David and Goliath? Well it just sounds cheesy unless you point it out somehow more consciously/visibly. And i listened the whoule series but if I was buying book by book I would really hate these cliffhsngers when someone dies at the end of the book. This is really cheap way to catch an interest used in silly Netflix series. However if this is where you are heading to?
Thank you again for the highly entertaining story. And just and explanstion - the other authors I mentioned not to compare you to them or diminish your abilities! You have your own unique style and I hope youd continue to write and though will discover even more from your style to us. I only wanted to demonstrate how do I imagine some aspects of the great story-telling. So you can take these examples as an inspiration or not... Best of luck!

Great srory! Im looking forwat to read the next ones
