Shane's first test as a Wishmaster candidate has finally begun.

Fresh from their victory in the scavenger hunt, Shane and his team face a new threat: a rival Wishmaster candidate vying for control of their home planet.

With alliances shifting and danger lurking in every corner of the Wish Curse Palace, Shane must uncover the true motives of his mysterious relative. Powerful factions move in the shadows, with all of G District in their crosshairs.

Shane and his friends must confront their own limitations and make difficult choices. Will they succumb to the ruthless tactics of their enemies, or will they rise above the chaos and forge their own path to power?

One thing is certain: in the world of Ascendants, every wish comes at a price.

Ok this gang war was ok and the introduction of some of the other competitors for wish master was also good. Now on to the next book!

Gang war!

The MC has completely stopped caring about getting skills and points to make him stronger. Even after a rival shows up he still isn’t trying to get skills or anything… kind of annoying. Why isn’t he trying to get more skills? Why does he just not care about points anymore? Doesn’t make a lot of sense. I feel like the author is purposely slowing things down with no actual storyline reason. Just because he wants to.

Not bad but..

Overall it's good but not as good as the other books in this series. I'm hoping this is just a building book to something much more interesting. The teenage lovey nonsense is bad. The story seems forcibly complicated without any real reason or reward. Giving it 4 stars in hopes the next book makes up for this one. If the other books had not been as good as they were I would be dropping this series. The ending does wrap things up nicely so there is that.

Good but a bit overly complicated and too much mushy teenage romance

I enjoy this story yet it has drifted away from its original premise into a story about an unmotivated boy who can't go 10 second without needing his girlfriend to make every decision for him.

not bad yet way too much teen romance

First off I have loved the setting and power system of the series from the beginning and that is arguably my main reason for listening to it. However, my 2 complaints for this book are the mc seems to mostly have stopped thinking (exceptwhen it comes to contracts) and 2nd the book is too short for its pacing which makes it only really have 1 even occur

Still very good but 2 complaints
