After bonding with female entities known to the outside world as shades, he has been granted powers beyond those of mortal men. Increased speed, the ability to create duplicates of himself, as well as a magical sword crafted from godmetal—just to name a few.

Gray is not the only one with powers. Each woman who has come to him, confided in him, and vowed to join him possesses her own unique gifts.

With a plan to infiltrate the royal city and dethrone the false king, Gray expects to succeed. Those lurking in the shadows, the true masters behind the royal pretender, will do anything to stop him.

slow start

it took a little while for me to get into the book, but when I did it was a spicy read in all the best ways

the narration is great, really takes the book to the next level...
so happy with the choice of narrators

I found this one annoying. Grey makes all these plans often and gets out smarted or overpowered all the time. Was pretty lame. But I low key expect this from Dante king
