Suzy and her daughter are on a bus, heading for London and safety. She knows her partner will be hunting them down. It's what he does for a living. He hunts people.

Suzy's plans go awry when armed robbers storm the bus on an isolated road and rob the passengers. She loses her entire savings—money she desperately needs to build a new life for herself and her daughter, far away from her psychotic partner.

With the sound of approaching sirens in the distance, Suzy makes a split-second decision. She can't trust the police. She can't trust anyone. Penniless and terrified, she and her daughter run into the woods. It's the only thing they can do.

But Suzy isn't the only passenger on the bus who's keen to avoid the authorities. Sitting behind her is a man in a robe. A preacher, moving from town to town. He's not been robbed, as there's nothing in his cloth bag worth stealing. The man in the robe also leaves the bus, following Suzy and her daughter into the woods.

As Suzy's partner closes in on them, Suzy discovers the man in the robe isn't just a roaming preacher. He is also a hunter, and prayer isn't his only weapon.

Narration is great

I found this series as a free book for the first one and got hooked. This is the second in the series and I enjoyed it as much as the first. I have really liked the stories and love when the bad guys get taken down. I will be continuing this series.

Exciting

Another strong performance and a storyline worth listening too. I always enjoy his journeys and the ending are always exciting

Entertaining

A frightening thought.. if the people who are supposed to protect, are evil & use their status to inflict horrors in others, especially women. If there is a satan, they are the embodiment of him. Perhaps this is the reality of satanic.

Spellbindering

This moved at more rapid pace than The Preacher. More action-packed! I loved how all of the seemingly independent stories intertwined! I'm on to the next - The Hunter! Brad us an Excellent narrator!!

excellent story and narration

excellent story and narration. I like this follow up to the first story. it's a great story with plenty of nasty villains. my only issue with this authors stories is that he leaves some threads unfinished. in this case (spoiler alert) the boyfriend Mark is never mentioned again even though there couldve been some more twists and turns with that awful character. in the first book it was the character of grammas that never seems to get developed beyond a voice on a phone but maybe that character will come back in a future story. despite these small issues / decisions, this is a great series.
