Loved Cooper and Ell’s story! Looking forward to seeing more about them in future books. I am going to listen to the bonus scenes now.

Love is all You Need

I am all for the epic best friends to lovers book and this was so epically good. I think this is the book I have been most anticipating in the series. Cooper and Ellery have been fighting their attraction for so long it seems to be natural to just be in the friend zone. These two are there for each other no matter what and that is the perfect foundation for a relationship. The chemistry was scorching and man it was a swoon fest. I loved everything about these two.

Aaron Shedlock couldn’t have been more perfect for Cooper. He gives Cooper a voice filled with a sexy timbre and emotion and heart. Emma Wilder was exactly what Ellery needed. You could feel all the emotion as she voiced this character.

I’m sad the series is coming to an end but super excited to see if we get that new hockey series. Cause man I am here for the hockey hunks.

Cute ending to The Den

I’ve actually already started the Nest series and didn’t realize there was a couple series before it. So it has been interesting getting all caught up. I like the spin this one took in the relationship. Great narration.

Best Friends to Lovers paradise!

I waited for so long for Connor and Elle’s story… and I truly loved getting to see their story come alive. Getting to see their life in college to then their transformation to adulthood was really special! My heart ached so badly for Connor because I KNEW how much he loved Elle, always.. and the feelings just never felt reciprocated from her! But then I finally felt so much relief when they ended up together and complete! I’m so sad see this series come to an end..

Frustrating MFC

Only a few hours into the audio books and I'm writing this review. Leading up to this book, I liked the MFC and MMC. But during this book, I'm having a hard time liking the MFC. Hopefully the rest of the book is more enjoyable and we see the MFC mature and communicate, but I'm so over poorly written/emotionally stunted characters that lash out, have no depth, and discard those they are supposed to care about, only to not be the ones to fight for the relationship. I've started reviewing books like that more harshly. If the rest of the book changes, I'll update my review.

Most other parts of this story are good. MMC is likeable. I get why the MMC stopped pursing the MFC after their junior year of college. I respect him for honoring what she wanted. But I really can't stand the angst of the situation in the present day.

I especially can't stand how the MFC gave no thought to causally dating her best friend's teammate knowing he would look out for her. I can't stand she so easily forgave the guy she casually dated when he slept around but got mad at the MMC for standing up for her. She put herself in the situation to have a casual relationship change the dynamic of her friendship and MMC's workspace/team camaraderie. She took no responsibility for the MCs drifting apart and for her own jealousy. Yet she was so quick to through away the friendship the MCs shared after the breakup with her casual partner bc she was mad the MMC fought him. I'm really tired of whiney MFCs who are emotionally stunted and can't have an honest conversation. I'm really tired of authors making the fault entirely on the male character and never have the female character grow.

I will say, I do appreciate how several of the MFC's friends and the MMC called out the MFC for her behavior. But even with everyone pointing it out, someone it was still up to the MMC to win the MFC over and fight for their relationship.
